In Houston, both Division I-A schools ? Houston and Rice ? were considering rescheduling their home games set for Saturday. Rice is to play Navy at 7 p.m. Saturday and is looking at rescheduling for Oct. 22, when both teams have open dates. Houston's game against Southern Mississippi, scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, presents more problems, since Southern Miss already had to reschedule its game against Tulane because of Hurricane Katrina.

i think they cancelled the houston/so. miss game because i had a bet on the game......& it's not on the pending list.....

Rice postpones home game against Navy

HOUSTON (AP) -- Rice has postponed its game against Navy on Saturday because Hurricane Rita is expected to reach the Houston area that morning.

The game has already been rescheduled for Oct. 22.

Texas A&M officials were expected to decide Wednesday whether to move the Aggies game against Texas State from Saturday to Thursday.

Houston was scheduled to host Southern Mississippi on Saturday. The Golden Eagles have already had a game postponed when Hurricane Katrina passed through their Hattiesburg, Miss., campus.

I thought you could smell the sarcasm from there. I was born in New Orleans. And I have friends in Gulf Port that I have yet to hear from. And I probably won't but I am sick and tired of people moaning and groaning that they didnt get help because they weren't white. It was a horrible tragedy and I hate that it happened. I am sorry that I posted this in this thread. Didnt mean to get you all riled up.
