TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida State quarterback Chris Rix was declared ineligible for the Nokia Sugar Bowl on Tuesday for failing to take a final exam. He will not play against Georgia on Jan. 1.

Rix regained his starting job Nov. 30 against Florida after Adrian McPherson was kicked off the team and led the 9-4 Seminoles to a 31-14 win over the Gators.

McPherson was kicked off the team Nov. 25 for his involvement in a check writing scam that led to arrest on felony and misdemeanor charges the next week.

Rix did not practice with the team Tuesday.

Thanks Hella. I wouldnt recommend mvpsportbook to anyone, they are very conservative about their lines and many times offer no moneyline on games at all. They still dont have a spread up. Georgia is starting to look really good.

MasterTX, do you know what type of QB walker is?

Mother F@*@er!!!! At least Coach Bowden is doing the right thing. Asshole thinks he's King Rix, "I don't have to take exams." Gets a 2nd chance and blows it. Jerk!!

I'm finished. nole

well sleeping through an exam isnt like he did it on purpose...not that iam saying he DID skip/sleep throughtout on purpose. I remember my first year in college I slept through my Electronic Circuits final....the begged and pleaded the professor to let me make it up and thank god he did. That was the last time I had a class at 8 in the morning

Does anybody think that Rix is the first star at FSU that didn't make grades? Methinks there is much more to the story. Bowden taking the moral high ground?:grins:

Thanks for the update, I had not heard that. I can't see Rix getting into anything that bad so I think it has to be that the team just can't stand him.

Maybe a transfer is next. Kinda like that Quincy Carter "knee injury."
