ROCKIES/BREWERS Under 8.5 -110 ? The Rockies are simply not the same club when they leave the rarified air of Colorado, as they have an anemic team batting average of .219 on the road, averaging just 3.30 runs per game. They do not match up well vs. Ben Sheets, who despite his record, has an excellent 2.51 ERA at home this season, allowing an opponents batting average of just .226. The Rockies lit him up for 5 runs and 11 hits in his last start, but that was at Coors Field, so I look for Sheets to get a measure of revenge today. Prior to that start at Colorado, he had allowed just 5 runs in 21 innings in his prior 3 starts. Stark has been the Rockies? best pitcher this year, as he is 6-1 with a sparkling 2.84 ERA in 57 innings. Most impressively, 6 of his 7 starts have been Quality Starts. He shut the Brewers down on just 3 runs and 6 hits in 6.1 innings at Coors last week, and he should have an easier time here at sea level, especially considering that the Brewers average just 3.64 runs per game at home.
