what a joke of a world series, who did Colorado play to win 22 of 23? Little league? Just heard that was the most lopsided series ever 39-10 runs scored. Boston hit 331 & 417 with risp, Colorado something like 219 & 197.

Honestly I don't think Colorado could have beaten Baltimore or Toronto, never mind Cleveland or Anaheim. I'm not sure 1 member of Colorado could start for Boston:shrug:

funny thing is I just heard the Colorado owner say Rockies would win 6 out of 10 times playing, honest of God, just heard that:shrug: :mj07:

Anybody notice how annoying Boston fans are when they win (or lose)?

Yeah, I hear you Agent. No other fans are annoying when they win...

While YOU may be annoyed by seeing a Colts fan win, it doesn't exactly compare to the ridiculousness of saying nobody from Colorado could start for Boston, or that Colorado didn't belong, etc.

The Sox won, and are a great team. Just STFU with all the other BS.

I can't wait to see the classless clowns after they get rolled by Indy AGAIN next week.

yes I'd take youk, no errors all season and production. And crisp didn't even start 1 game in center in world series, Ellsbury! And I'd take him over Tavares or crisp.

Very sore winner. I think I liked Boston fans more before they started winning stuff.

to each his own

i'd take helton over him every day of the week and tulo is a no braniner

as for cf......their cf all year was crisp and he got benched in the playoffs so i'm comparing him to tavares...a wash

surprisingly lowell and atkins are about even 9probably rate lowell better on defense) except that lowell had his contract year, however atkins #'s are usually better and surprisingly holliday's #'s were better than manny's, by far.

the key is pitching and col's soft tossing starters got exposed in the ws like most soft tossers do (team with power arm's usualy fare better in post season)

Murphy, sorry brother, but what can I say? Colorado was absolutely terrible, embarrassing. They were so worried about the potential problem of traffic tonight with world series game & Monday night football, how about winning a game first? Then the owner saying they would win 6 of 10 games, wtf:shrug:

I remember a cute, struggling city finally breaking through and ending a 90 year or whatever curse a couple years ago. ...I believe that series was a sweep too if not mistaken. Sox fans didn't rub Cardinal fans' (or whoever it was you beat) noses in it. That was a great story and I was happy for the Sox and Boston.

Now you guys act like pompous Yankee fans, mocking teams you beat. It's too bad. Baseball is all about streaks. Colorado's clearly ended when they hit that 8 days rest, while the Sox were peaking. ...So, yeah - it looked bad - but most people understand one team was at it's best while the other was at their worst.

ok, please don't compare us to Yankee fans. Just very surprise Colorado was so weak, many great handicappers here were picking Rockies to win series. Was so anti climactic almost a disappointment. Anyway season over.

honestly, you guys are yankee fans, you just dont realize it.

loud
obnoxious
self absorbed
think the world begins and ends with your city

but a differentiation is that you still have napoleans complex and are obsessed with the yankees (here's a hint, most of the rest of us could care less about yankees vs red sox 18 times a year)

did i mention that your organization has also become the yankees and just spend, spend, spend(which you scream and yell about all the time reg them)

Red Sox fans have been much worse than Yankee fans for a quite a while now. Yankee fans are mostly like any other fans, except that there are more of them and their team used to always win. Gjn is spot-on with the obsession with the Yankees thing... the ugly stepchild syndrome gets old quickly.

Having worked in the world of sports for several years and seeing many different fan bases, Red Sox fans are, without question, the most nauseating of any team in any sport (Scott4USC notwithstanding).

Just like anything thing in life, dont group "All Red Sox Fans" as bad..........Some are outspoken, some just enjoy the results of a hard fought season.......Congrats to the Rockies and their season, and nice run for the Sox!

the only thing worse than a yankee fan is a boston fan & their not even smart enough to see the man in the mirror.... when you have a 200 million dollar payroll, you are supposed to win and act like you have been there when you do. Enjoy your WS..... I'll always have that night of the 6th gm, 1986 @ the parker house as I slow danced to NY NY, the lights were low and there wasn't a ne- chowda fan around......:142smilie

Brian, whatever dude, you must have totally enjoyed the Metz this season. Actually the last 20 years. you got me on 1986 though. That definitely sucked! What made it even worse was breaking my neck that summer, that topped things off, watched the series from my hospital bed in Boston, where I would stay for 18 months, got some enjoyment from watching Boston come back from 3-1 to California Angels. After this season with Cleveland & 2004 with Yankees, Sox are only team ever to come back from being done 3-1 twice, and now they have done it 3 times.

I've got 10 times the abuse from Dent & Buckner comments than I have ever gloated about the Sox. either lots of sensitive or jealous people, I'm not quite sure which.

So whatever, I guess I should take back that series was boring, and Colorado was over rated, Rockies did a great job to get there, maybe next year, I'm sure they tried hard, and their purple uniforms looked nice, and they were nice guys and all.

Thanks sponge appreciate it. Sponge, remember those old rivalry games between Philly & Boston Celtics, those were great days.
