Yes, I was wrong about OKC. Were they too young, or was it the officials? A little bit of both in my opinion. Yes, I did lose 3 games in a row in that series. But I won game one and finally bet on Miami in game 5. So I lost a little. So fucking what?

Verlander obviously couldn't locate his pitches. This isn't a regular season game. You have a dozen All-Star pitchers that can come in. I would tell my pitchers, "I don't care who the fuck you are. If you give up a run, you are coming out." To let your team get in a five-run hole after one inning in this game is unforgivable. I don't give two shits if Verlander is the best pitcher in the league. He didn't have it, so he needed to be yanked. No fucking way Larussa sits on his hands in that situation. Like me he thinks unconventionally, which is why he is a winner. Obviously I see this differently than most. I guess most schmucks think a 5-run first inning deficit in the All-Star Game is acceptable.
I feel so bad for Texas fans. They have an amazing team led by one of the most inept monkeys ever to manage a team. Hopefully they can overcome his ineptness and win the Series as a road team this year.

I don't care whether you won or lost your bet, but you are false in your thinking that Ron Washington is a bad manager. The Texas Rangers have been irrelevant for most of their history up until three years ago. While Ron Washington is not the sole reason obviously, the way he allows his guys in the clubhouse to be themselves and the culture he continues to cultivates is a huge reason the Rangers after two horrible World Series losses are back on top of the AL. The guys love him and it shows because they'll run through a fucking brick wall for him. A good manager isn't necessarily about being the smartest man in the room, its about surrounding yourself with better people around you and letting your guys do what they are good at and trusting shit will get done.
