She's lost a couple of fights and it does appear that her preparation and competitive spirit has diminished somewhat. I think it may be a bit of a reach to say she's done or a one trick pony. She may have different priorities at the time. She may decide to come back and fight again someday and if purposely managed and trained may very well be at the top of her profession once again, she is still a supremely talented fighter. If your heart isn't in it however, well, that changes everything. That's how it appears to me. It seemed as if she was in the ring because everyone else wanted her there, not because she wanted to be there. Anyone that steps into the cage or laces on gloves, regardless of the purse or league, has my respect.

And for the record she isn't close to a "supremely talented fighter", nowhere close, she got very lucky being in a shit division and fighting females that had the fight IQ of Hedgehog. Her boxing is awful, her footwork is awful and she has always been mentally weak. She got very very very lucky and made zillions of dollars because of that luck. Cyborg would have killed her three years ago and all this hype would have died then. It all would have come to an end 3 years ago if Zuffa organization didn't protect her, she isn't a bad MMA fighter but she isn't good either.

She got lucky that she was protected and she cashed in huge, she is an average MMA fighter at best. And if she was a 115 pounder there were 4 or 5 girls that would have torched her, again luck she was in such a weak ass division for so long.

Zuffa knew how to market her as "the baddest fighter on the planet" those that knew MMA knew that was complete bullshit. Zuffa are marketing gods though, Ronda was everywhere and the hype lived for a long time. Props to Zuffa and props to her for making all that cash.

She should have one last fight... Against a non striker.. Would be a shame for her to leave with those 2 last awful fights... Her biggest mistake his her camp with that idiot trainer Edmund.. Like it or not she did a lot for Women's MMA...

LOL @ the comments after the fact. Where were all these experts when she was winning?

It clearly was a money grab for her...isn't that what all people do in their line of work? Go for the most money and give less effort? lol Asinine...

As far as not training...she clearly did as she was in the best shape of her life. Not only that, but her game plan was just terrible. Which leads me to believe that the only way she will ever bounce back is by switching training camps.

When you are the benchmark in a sport and division, everyone is aiming for you and everyone has to evolve and adapt to you. The division simply caught up to her. At the end of the day, she created more opportunities for women to live out their dreams and make good money doing it than all of us here combined. Like her personality or not, I will always be in support of a trail blazer.

Kickserv,

Stop, you couldn't be anymore far off. Ronda TORCHED 3 fighters who have beaten Nunes and Holm. So give up trying to convince people she's an average fighter. In fact, all 3(Davis, Cat, and Tate) finished Nunes and Holm. So if they were so dumb against Ronda, how were they so brililant against Nunes/Holm?

Ronda has simply fought 2 very very dumb fights in a row, and it's a combination of bad coaching + bad game plan + bad psyche. You'll never convince me an olympian isn't very talented :142smilie

Please explain how Zuffa protected her? Outside of fighting Cyborg who can't even make weight, nor apparently pass a piss test, she fought everyone that was worthy.

For the "If she was a 115 pounder...." - If I won the lottery I'd be rich. That's about as valid of argument you made.

Hell no, I have watched a little mma, not my thing, I'm making light of the fact UFC was recently bought out and has turned into the wwe that's what I'm saying
Not even close to what you were saying nor what your intent was. You lie so much it just comes naturally to you doesn't it? In a few more days you'll be insisting you backed Trump all along and that your not 5' 7" and 365 pounds
