It appears Ducks QB Nate Costa, who suffered a non-contact injury to his surgically repaired knee this week, will sit out Oregon's opener against Pac-10 rival Washington. This according to a recent update from the Register-Guard's Rob Moseley in a quote by head coach Mike Bellotti:

"I don't think Nate (Costa) is going to be available this week. We'll know more about his long-term prognosis either later today or sometime Sunday ... I don't know for sure when our doctor is going to be back to examine him ... I'm not rulling Nate out, but at this point, he's doubtful for this game."

It might as well be Mr. Roper from Three's Company, I still think that Oregon will cover.
Washington very thin everywhere, and their
D just sucks. Offensively, the Huskies RB's are beat up and you really just need to gamplan
for #10.....:SIB
