Yikes.....yesterday was very very rough for me. I had been on a nice March Madness trek, but a little gun shy after last night.

There are eight games this afternoon. Folks, please drop some insight into these games for me. Help me cut through the fat. Any best bets out there in the afternoon session?

I have been playing--and losing--on the teams that need to win to get into the NCAAs. Today, those teams are OSU and Va Tech. Can I rely on them? Will any of the #1 seeds roll in the nooners?

Lets talk!

I'll get you started in the right direction....

The Tarheels/FSU game will soar over the 155.5 total. Lots of transition baskets today :SIB

Thanks guys......i like that, you almost always have to take a look at UNC Overs because of how they get up and down the floor.

Wonder if anyone has strong opinions on the three key 4/5 quarterfinal games later this afternoon.....OSU-MSU, VT-Miami, and Arky-Vandy.

I'm partial to Miami covering in the ACC.....I think the Hokies are a fraud personally.....and with Greenburg winning coach of the year in the ACC...that made me want to :rant2: :cuss: I can name at least 3 other coaches in the league that deserve it more than him.....and Miami's Frank Haith tops the list! Miami was picked in the cellar...and ended up 5th and is gonna go to the dance? Gimme a break. :bs:

Va Tech ;142loser:

Miami :00x30

Well, I have a better outlook on VT than you do. Not necessarily for this game, but overall. They are a smoke and mirror team, for sure, but they play in your face and for whatever reason they are a hard team to play against and some of the ACC teams seem to shrink in front of that style. Its remarkable, given their talent, that they finished in the top-4 this year.

Agree about Haith. Despite VT's success, I would vote for Haith--and maybe even Guadio and Coach K--over Greenberg. They are not doing anything special in Blacksburg. They just make every game ugly and take advantage of the fact that teams take them lightly.

In this game, who has the best player on the court? That would be the Canes and McClinton. That ought to be enough to slide by a get a win.

Appreciate your help in talking out these games! :toast:

No prob. That's what the site's for. I'm sure some of my feelings about Va Tech come from being so unreliable. I totally agree with you about making games ugly. Most of their games are hard to watch.

My Acc best coaching job rankings this year would be:

1. Miami-Haith
2. Wake Forest-Gaudio
3. Clemson-Purnell
4. Va Tech-Greenburg
5. Duke-Coach K
6. UNC-Roy Williams
7. FSU-Hamilton
8. Maryland-Gary Williams
9. Virginia-Laeto
10. Ga Tech-Hewitt
11. BC-Skinner
12. NC State-Lowe

give or take one spot
