Since we all want to make money lets talk about this a little. I think everyone here in the penality box was on Philly last night which is cool especially when we win.
I am going to breakdown the all the series the way I see/seen it in Round 2. Give me your feedback and what you think. Lets see if we can all come down with a winning formula.
Toronto VS Philly - The way I see it, Game 1 could have went either way. Slow game with some good hits. Sundin is a key for the Leafs and till he gets back I just dont think they will have enough opportunity to score goals. Philly was slow but I think they will pickup their game. Esche will be important part of their game since Philly Defense is rather week and banged up right now. Philly should take this series with ease while Sundin is out. Personally will be on Philly till Sundin gets back... Totals will be a NO-NO for me here.
Calgary VS Detroit - I LOVE this series. Took Calgary to win the series with my local book +800 because of 1 BIG reason. Goaltending!!! Cujo IMO is crap. He needs shots to stay in the game and playing on Detroit and only getting 15-20 shots a game makes him fall asleep back there and let in some weak goals. Obviously Detroit is better in all other aspects. Last nights game showed Detroits ability to make the plays but Kiprosov (sp?) was hot. Detroit will win Game 2 IMO but if Calgary just plays some good Defense and dont get into penality trouble they should be able to remain competitive. Goaltending will be the difference and I think Cujo will be pulled eventually but.. Calgary is great on the +++ money. Game 2 will be taken by the Wings and we'll see what I do from there.........Totals are hard to predict here.
Colorado vs San Jose - Both these teams can score at will. Both teams can skate and both teams have goaltending which is IMO unproven. I think it is almost impossible to pick a side with all the games. I will personally stay FAR FAR away from this series. I did take the over in the first game and will probably continue down that path till it fails. Considering the firepower on both teams, the over looked sweet last night at 4.5 but surely will get to 5. As proven in the Dallas/Avs series, Avs can score against a good defensive team. as proven in the SJ/ST Louis series, SJ can win and score vs a defensive St. Louis team. This is an OVER OVER OVER all the time series in my opinion...
Tampa vs Montreal - We will see how the first game plays out but I think game 1 will be good for Montreal for 1 reason. When you wait to play, even though you do practice, it is not the same as the real thing. Tampa has been waiting and will be rusty meanwhile Habs and Theodore are all geared up and ready. I do think Tampa will take this series, but not easy! Totals will be scary in this series.
