Iowa's Roy Devyn Marble expected to miss tonight's game vs. Michigan State

By Joe Rexrode
Detroit Free Press Sports Writer

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Iowa junior guard and leading scorer Roy Devyn Marble (Southfield Lathrup) is expected to miss tonight's game against No. 22 Michigan State with an ankle injury.

Marble, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard averaging 15.5 points a game, injured his ankle this week in practice and is officially listed as doubtful. Iowa coach Fran McCaffery told the Spartan Radio Network that Marble could play, but that he wouldn't be effective and that McCaffery does not want to risk long-term issues.

Eric May is expected to replace Marble in the starting lineup, according to the Cedar Rapids Gazette and Des Moines Register, for the 7 p.m. tip on ESPN2.
