Used to like him, over the years he has seemed to get a big head on him, very unfortunate. Now the fan needs to sue him for missing the game and for emotional distress due to the embarassment of being escorted out.

Roy's a complete dickhead, no two ways about it. He's got an ego the size of NC. Obviously I'll cut him some slack because he wins championships. It would be hard to find a coach on the college or pro level who does win championships who doesn't bring along a big ego.

I lost respect for Roy when he went off on a fan during a call-in show. I don't feel bad for him, he makes several million a year and has to do a radio show 1x/week. Get over it and just deal with it. The fan said something like "hey coach have you ever considered not using the press" to which he went off about how there wasn't a thing in the world they hadn't considered because he's a coach and not a stupid fan, and that he could care less about the fans.

Almost all the $$ from his contract comes when fans buy tickets and carolina gear. I've never been a big Roy fan. This is totally out of line, what a bullshit thing to do.

I wonder if there was more to this than the story tells us. Seems pretty harmless, but the guy may have been doing more than that previously, I don't know. Seems out of line to me, at face value.

Of course there is. However, it's Carolina, so any story will be made a bigger story.

Roy didn't get a fan ejected for simply cheering on that Deon miss a free throw. Let's get real here people. The guy was drunk too, from the reports. I highly doubt that's all he was doing.

I don't think so. I think Roy was just being sensative to the issue at the time. I think he was just pointing out that Carolina provided him the ability to watch the game.

I for one am not, and never will be on the side of "I paid for my ticket, I'll do what I want," argument. Especially considering this isn't a professional sport or venue.

The kid tossed was from Presbyterian which is known as a liberal arts and religious school.
He was not drunk or even drinking. You think he was yelling worse then downgraded to Don't miss it??? Usually the obscene loud mouth fan will not drop down to a don't miss it heckle.
Roy didn't like the fact that a non UNC fan had such good seats and was cheering against his team in his building.
Last time I cheked that is allowed. This is not tennis or golf so yelling something that lame is more than fine.
Where are all the UNC fans sitting around the guy saying he was being obscene??

Roy is a great coach and a greater ass.

Also after watching the video I think the guy is even more innocent.
If the guy was over the top and being an ass then everyone in the section would have been cheering the ejection.
Did you even see a single person clapping that he was getting tossed???????
NO. I saw people laughing and some even looked puzzled as to what was going on.

The guy is like 5 or 6 rows from the top of that section so there is no way that is still the family section. I would guess only the bottom half(if that) is family section.

And if it is the family section then maybe Roy should be more concerned about what beloved family member scalped the ticket to him.
