First off I have to say there are lots of knowledgeable people on these boards for baseball. I have been reading at this forum since April. When I was on the minus side this forum HELPED OUT BIG TIME to make me on the plus side. Plus it made me a better capper reading how others research games, i thought i was the man but after coming here i had a lot to learn.

Ok now to my question, well i was curious because so far nobody has mentioned this game, Royals vs Angels. I like the Royals +110 should I take it? Looks like a gimme with how bad Sele is playing plus the game is in KC & they have lost the first 2. P Byrd is the royals best pitcher. Should I take it?

Really think there's a lot better games to choose from than this one....but that's just my opinion.

Looks like a coin-flipping type game rather than a gimme.

Sele might be horrible, but don't think I like Byrd in this spot either. Byrd actually is worse at home and gives up home run balls at an alarming rate.

Good luck in what ever you decide :)

I agree that it seems more like a 50/50 propostion. I got kc +118. If it truly is 50-50, then +118....or even +110 makes sense from just a mathematical standpoint.

Byrd had much more success early in the season, has tailed off a bit of late. As far as homeruns, playing in Royals Stadium helps keep the ball in the park. I think the wind out of the Northeast at 13mph means the wind is blowing in????

The royals tend to play their best when Byrd is on the mound. Excellent run support.

IMO the Royals are a decent play.

well i hope the royals, pitts, montreal and texas win i got them in a 4 way parlay. I took pitts/texas because of ndnfan(eventhough he didn't play the texas game cuz of the pitching change). Also took Royals/Pitts on a 2 way parlay. I lost with White Sox/Dodgers BIG TIME so I need to come away with a plus today.

Man I hope I had MLB exta innings game.

First off, I played KC and I think they are a decent play. Sorry I am posting this after it started, but I just got back online.

One thing I have to say, and granted the only thing I know about you is what I have read from these two posts, is that you should try to stay away from playing parlays, especially if you are not playing the games straight up. Parlays generally end up costing you money long term. If you only have a small amount of funds available, you just have to have the patience to build up your bankroll rather than throwing down huge parlays to try to make it all up at once.

There is no shame in playing $20 per game for a number of games rather than packing them all in on a $100 parlay. Every handicapper has times when their funds get low and the best thing to do is to adjust your dollar amounts to fit your bankroll and stay conservative. I know that is not exciting advice, but I sure wish I would have listened to it back when I started gambling.

I have read most of your write ups and that is the reason I stopped doing just parlays. But in this case I didn't have enough time to depoist more $$$ into my account there was like 2 min left until 4:05 PT so i bet quickly not smart but did it. I also no you say don't do "make up bets" but I try not but when something looks like a gimmie i go for it. I think I am a smart person with $$$, i don't risk more than i can afford. I bet:

$75 on Dodgers/White Sox LOST
$50 on White Sox/Red Sox LOST
$30 on Mets/Philly Over 8 WON
$20 on Reds LOST
$10 on Seattle/TB over 8.5 LOST
$20 on NYY/Cleveland over 9.5 WIN

pending
$30 on KC/Texas/Montreal/Pittsburgh to win $466.20(if i did $100 i would have been $1554 richer DAMN)

KC/Pittsburgh risk $50 to win $151.50

KC risk $250 to win $275

I think i will win my parlays except if Pittsburgh blows the lead then I lose $600(my winnings) something which I can feel in my hands right now.

["There is no shame in playing $20 per game for a number of games rather than packing them all in on a $100 parlay. "

I am the other way I rsk more on straight bets then parlays because on parlays you get more value for less $$$.

I have been gambling for a year now I have learned so much in that year, probably still a lot to learn, i was down 9,000 at one point, might be pocket change for most but for me that was HUGE blow for me. I got that far behind in the NFL(first week I did a $500 parlay on the jags/chargers to win $3,000) then I got greedy and lost 9,000. But the NHL saved me(my fav sport)
)& i was a plus 5,000 then I bet all of my 5,000+ I took out another $1,500 out in the finals with the red wings game 1(they lost in OT). Funny thing the bet price was 1.32 i think, was that STUPID or what. I was down around $3,000 then with NHL/MLB plus all the $$$ I worked so hard to make in 8 months gone down the drain(now I withdrawl after every $850 i make), still PISSED about that to this day i was so stupid to bet at 1.32. But this forum HELPED out me BIG TIME to be on the PLUS SIDE. I couldn't wait until October for the NHL. Now I find MLB easier to cap then the NHL in some ways. I hate working with spreads(NHL/NFL) & the moneylines for the NHL are horrible at times.

BTW for tommorow I like a 4 way parlay again:

Red Sox(no waying they are going to lose 3 straight to the jays with PEDRO on, plus there the best on the road)

Mets(aren't going to lose 3 out of 4, Pedro Astacio 8-3)
Seattle(not going to lose 2 straight, Garcia in on)
Dodgers(sweep at home NO WAY,Ishii vs Batista no brainer)

So what do you think about these picks? I haven't researched them yet I do that at 1am.
