BALTIMORE ORIOLES -115 ? This is a pitching rematch from last Saturday, when each of tonight?s starters started to show their true colors. Ponson is off to a rather shaky start, at 1-2 with a 5.28 ERA, but he has much more ability than that. This started to show in that outing vs. the Royals, where he allowed just 2 earned runs and 7 hits in 7 innings. This marked his 2nd consecutive Quality Start, so Ponson may finally be ready to put things together. Conversely, Byrd is off to an unconscious start, at 4-1 with a 3.06 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP. However, he started his descent to earth vs. the O?s, allowing 5 earned runs in 7 innings. I feel that Byrd has been pitching way over his head, so I expect Baltimore to get to him once again tonight.

I just wanted to chime in and I completely disagree with you.

Byrd has good form and was the only reliable KC starter toward the end of last year. After getting hit last time out, he should make adjustments to the Oriole hitters.

Last time I stuck my nose in your thread, you won easily. :) Just trying to help. ;)
