Russia selling Tehran missile systems

MOSCOW, Jan 16 (Reuters) - Russia has delivered new anti-aircraft missile systems to Iran and will consider further requests by Tehran for defensive weapons, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov said on Tuesday.

"We have supplied the modern short-range anti-aircraft systems TOR-M1 in accordance with our contracts," Ivanov told reporters "Iran is not under sanctions and if it wants to buy defensive ... equipment for its armed forces then why not?"

A defence ministry source later told Reuters deliveries of hardware under the $1 billion deal, which has been criticised by the West, have not yet been completed.


Does this mean that we attack Russia next for giving Iran aid. No wait, Russia has nukes! That means we won't even talk about it.

Sounds like Russia is to Iran like we were to Iraq 25 years ago. We really have no room to bitch about anything. Roger, The new congress is trying. They will ask for some of the money tax breaks that Bush's last congress gave away to oil. They want it to go towards alternate fuels. Bush already said he would veto it. So congress has to get enough votes to over ride his Highness.
