The AD should be canned too. They disciplined him for it back in December by suspending him for a few games. Nothing new came to light, it was the same video and they are firing him for the backlash they are getting. Also I believe the AD showed the video to the media to try to take the wind out of ESPN's sail, and just yesterday said Rice was still the coach. This guy is as fickle as they come it would seem.
What I forgot to comment on is that these pieces of film were spliced, it is an obvious a recurring theme. Did you notice how after he chucked a basketball at a player, there would be a student assistant there to hand him a new ball right away? Like he was reloading with ammo?

This guy was way out of line, no doubt......But is he really any different than a coach that runs his teams to death in practice for making mistakes? Has them sprint up and down the bleachers if they don't get back on D. Running full out and dive for lose balls heading for the wall?
Now every coach out there that raises his voice or pushes a player is going to be put under a microscope regarding his style....It's hard enough these days to get kids motovated enough to tie their shoes let alone play competitve sports....
