Who in their right mind would be playing Rutgers tonight against big name Pitt?........ who beat their ass last year 41-17..... also the year before 42-32 and the year before that 23-3...actually 10-3 su but only 6-7 ATS so maybe its a game...Lets see... Pitt 41-0 over Youngstown...Rutgers 38-6 over Villanova/check scores of those and common opponent Northeastern...and it shows they are not too far apart.. fwiw..apples and oranges but it puts them both on the same field..Last year this Rutgers gave CT a better game than did Pitt while both lost to the Huskies...The Rutgers O was one of the only teams to outgain CT....but Pitt dominated Rutgers head to head...
I'm not buying the hapless offensive performance vs Buffalo....Rutgers CAN move the ball (500+ yards vs Illini)......6th best passing yds w/Hart... last year and 9 back on Offense from that team including Brian Leanord who can both run and catch.
Bottom line..... which Rutgers will show up tonight......Last year they beat Mich STate 19-14 and followed up with a loss to New Hampshire ????This team is so schizophrenic that they switch identities mid-game (Illinois)
I like Rutgers chances here...The WORLD LIKES PITT.. Rutgers almost always disappoints...but maybe NOT TONIGHT

You hit the nail on the head with that quote: "Rutgers ALMOST ALWAYS DISAPPOINTS"

I can't tell you how many games I've lost with them. They had Illinois in the bag and just mentally shut down, like they had it won. I'm sure it wasn't the heat in Illinois or was it. They slep-walked thru Buffalo. There's no doubt that this team has the talent, but I don't think they're capable of putting 4qrts together against a tough defensive team.

Don't forget, Pittsburgh now has Wannstedt. If that doesn't make you wanna bet RUTGERS, nothing ever will.

Pittsburgh may be starting to pull it together but Wandstedt finds ways to lose. He is creative, innovative in finding ways.

Besides , Pitt only looked halfway decent against that WEENIE 12 team Nebraska.
