Here are a few to get the ball rolling....been capping all morning.

Florida +109 and under 8

Burnett has a really nice history against the Mets. In fact....there arent any hitters on the current Mets team that hit him with any success. He had a rocky outing last time out and I look at that as a fluke as opposed to a trend. Trachsel has also fared decent against current Marlins, but has been more than hittable over the course of his career, so i will take the small doggie with the vast starting pitching advantage.

BIG PLAY!!!

Houston -1.5 (-120)

Wade Miller dominates the Brew Crew. He is 10-1 with a 2.47 ERA lifetime. Also he is 2.68 ERA and 14-4 during the day games. Ritchie on the other hand is very poor in day games....4-14 with a 5.81 ERA. Not to mention that over the course of 2 and a half years...when the Astros have beaten the Brew Crew it has been by over a run. So since I feel that the Astros take this one, it only makes sense to take the runline.

Colorado -143

Simply taking a hotter and better team with the hot and better pitcher on the mound at a do-able price of -143.

Cubs -160

Prior is pitching great right now. The Pirates cant hit the broad side of a barn, so I fully do not expect them to score over their typical 3-4 runs. With Chicago rolling right now, I dont see the mightly Kip Wells stopping their offensive train.

Atlanta -122 and over 8

Atlanta is actually playing good baseball for now...not really knocking the snot out of the ball, but winning ballgames. Padilla has a rocky history against the Braves. Sheffield, Chipper, and Castilla knock Padilla around pretty well. Hampton is still unproven, so I dont expect him to come in and shut the Phils down. This one may get ugly. But I like the hotter team to get the win.

SF/LA over 8

I still hate Damian Moss. He is a bad pitcher. yea, I know stats dont support it. But he somehow gets enough guys out to keep them from scoring. But the fact is that he walks a lot of guys and gives up a lot of hits. The law of averages say that yields a lot of overs. Ashby is horrific against the Giants, and I dont see anything changing today. 8 is an awful low number with these 2 guys.

Boston -1.5 (-120)

This is a huge play against Sturtze. He absolutely gets hammered by the Sox. He somehow managed to pitch well against them early this year. But now that they have seen him once....I REALLY look for them to tee- off on him. The current Sox hit .356 against him lifetime!!! Not to mention the Sox have hit over .313 in each of their last 4 games, I dont think that it is coming to a halt today.

Yankees -145

This is also more of a play against Mays. Most of the current Yanks knock him around really well. Considering the Yanks knocked the cover off the ball last night, they shoudl continue today. Minny didnt face Pettitte last year, but didnt too too badly this year when they faced him. Pettitte is a lefty though and Minny is not good against lefties. I will take the Yanks at -145 in this situation all year

GOOD LUCK

Also....note that on the Florida play...this was also made due to the fact that Florida is completely exposing the fact that Piazza cant throw out base runners from stealing. Not to mention that not many catchers can throw out Castillo, Pierre, and Encarnation to begin with....they are turning singles into doubles everytime. Just something to keep in mind.
