not trying to be a jerk I've been around here long time like yourself

my hero? please he's good coach
personality? def lacking but what hardass coach isnt like that

i bet 99.99% of every school would take him right now

He is a good college coach I will give you that. He sucked in the pros and was over his head. He won't ever be invited back to the pros, but I agree that he is effective as a college coach.
I don't know what it is about some college coaches and the seemingly steady decline of their social skills the longer they stay in a program. Anyway, it looks like he has this game in hand.

As far as Manziel goes, he's young and over privileged, but still a very talented young man.

Hope that helps,
FDC

pretty damned good game.....no quit in either program...the difference is that, imo,a&m`s defense is pedestrian(at best)....manziel will have to continue putting up 40 points per game...

u probably need him on your fantasy debacle....lol

Fantasy debacle? I am 1-0 with the largest margin of victory so far? You had a great week, I am sure that Boldin will score 50 for you every week and obviously Peyton is going to throw for 112 TDs this year. :00hour :00hour :00hour

I am glad that you agree he is Effective as a college coach.........I guess 4 BCS national championships as a coach will classify you as just effective.......he doesn't want to go back to the pros.......You have to have a great QB to be successful in the pros, just ask Bill Bellichek who was not successful in his first job at Cleveland but turned into a genius when Tom Brady beame QB

yes, when it is your job to win and you do it, that makes you effective. What do you want me to say? He isn't the only coach with championships that is still winning. He isn't the greatest thing since funnel cakes man. He has the advantage of coaching at a university that consistently recruits well and has appeal to college players. I am sure the University of Alabama would completely disagree with you in thinking that Saban was the only reason they won championships. I would even hazard to guess that he isn't even the best coach ever at Alabama.
You do not have to have great QB's to be a great coach in the NFL. Are you kidding me?!?!? Trent Dilfer, Jeff Hochstetler, Rich Gannon, Jim Plunkett, Doug Williams, Jim McMahon, Jay Shroeder, and Joe Flacco are great?

Also, Drew Bledsoe wasn't exactly chipped beef. Belichick wasn't a failure at Cleveland either. He got out of a bad situation in Cleveland but he was starting to turn that team around when he left. Look at the coaching bloodline that Belichick has. I think there are only two or three teams that DON'T have a coach that has worked for him in one way or another. Of course, he has nothing to do with Saban's failure at the pro level, he did that all on his own and he will never be asked to coach in the pros again.

agree....needs to grow up great athlete, poor person, never seems to work well...

I don't know what it is with some people man. I mean, yeah, I get it. He has been privileged his whole life and if he reads his own headlines, I would expect his ego to get a bit inflated, but why does that mean that you have to continue to do dumb shit. I look at people like Aaron Hernandez and even Miley Cyrus and you just want to shake the living shit out of them(well Hernandez deserves to be put down if he is guilty). I played hockey as a younger man and don't ever recall having an attitude like these guys do man......

I will say that Manziel has the raw talent to be a decent QB in the pros. Then again, I thought the same thing about Brady Quinn so what the hell do I know.

Bellichek was 36-44 at Cleveland in 5 years and Saban was 15-17 in 2 years........all those QBs except Flacco played in the 80s and 90s where pro football has changed into more of a passing league now.........if you don't have a top 10 QB in today's NFL you are not going to win a championship......

The reigning champion isn't a top ten quarterback so you are wrong about that. Also, I didn't say Belichick had a winning record overall. He has had 4 losing seasons in 28 seasons. 5-11 twice and 7-9 twice. He also went 11-5 in Cleveland. Hardly a failure as that may be the most wins they have ever had in a single season (not sure about this just saying). Do you really think Kaepernick is a top ten quarterback in his the 10 or so games he has played in his career? I think you might want to change the sensible filter up there in the ole brain housing group there big guy.

Hope this helps,
FDC

I would take Kaepernick in the top 10 right now.......Go ask Green Bay how good he has been the last 2 times they played.......

Great game to watch as a college fb fan. No wonder I don't watch pro football. 2 good QB's and 2 good coaches. Just disapointed that Sabon allowed the running back in the game after his 15 yd penalty near the end of the 1st half--totally selfish on his part.
