I didn't believe rumblings last month, and can't say I buy into him leaving bama, but more is being spread about Texas offering saban a huge deal. Word is Saban took a big hit in a development deal in baton rouge. Maybe money is more of an issue for him than we'd think.

Anyone hear anything?

Guy makes $4+ mil a year I believe. I would say perhaps it was a ploy to get more money out of his current employer, but he is signed through 2017 due to an extension deal two years ago.

Just hard to believe.

Poon, I would say it's all bs to but I think there might be more to the story of why he would and it's all about ESPN. ESPN has invested millions and needs the Longhorns to get big time attention. Saban going there would surely attract a few more viewers to the Longhorn network. I'm pretty sure that up to this point it's been a total bust.

I still don't think it happens but if we're looking for reasons then that could be one. With that network deal the Longhorns could easily make him the highest paid coach in sports and not even blink an eye.

Are you referring to the '41 season? MSU went undefeated and won the SEC that year and I believe Bama got a NC

Lost to an undefeated ND team in the Sugar Bowl in '73. They claim that one too.

If it is true and Texas does come with a big offer Bama will match them dollar for dollar and then some if necessary. :0003

It's not hating - it's chuckling.

There's no opinion nor slant in my post. They lost to an undefeated in a bowl game and still claim a national championship. That's not the worst championship that they claiim. . . . . still chuckling

Regarding the Tide matching dollar for dollar, I seriously doubt they could match Texas oil money. I think its bs though. Nick's got it made in T town - everybody from the admin to the boosters and even media suck his balls.

And that's why I want to punch his stupid midget face repeatedly. Well, that and the 40 spot he hung on my tigers this year...
