Has anyone tried to use this instead of regular stats to handicap games? I think there are a lot of stats that are better at describing past performance and then some others at projecting performance.
A lot of people use past 3 ERA, WHIP, etc. Why not use FIP, SwStr and other saber stats for analyzing the last few games of a pitcher? I think it could be valuable, but i just don't have the knowledge to implement them in a regular basics handicapping.
