Sorry to hear about your friend Bart.

I text a lot in my car while I'm driving but I only do it by voice. I'm not sure how other phones work but on my S3 I hit the button twice, say text "whoever" and then say what I want to text. Works better than when I'm sitting in a chair trying to text with my fingers. I also use the button to make phone calls. Hit it twice and say call "whoever." I never look at my phone when I'm in the car.

If anything it's worth having one of these phones that can do that just for that reason. There's just no reason why people should be looking down at their phones while driving.

And the Gooberment is trying to lower DUI to .05. IMOP They should make those TEXTers attend classes just like DUI. Take away driving privileges, etc. I don't even drink, but TEXTers have to far outnumber drunk drivers on a daily basis, and are only going to get larger.

Sorry for your loss Bart

Yeah technology should solve this problem faster than new laws will. But some other distraction will probably come along to replace it. :sadwave:

Sorry to hear pp. I got ran into at half that speed and it wasted my car. I can't even fathom what 60 would do. Driving makes me more and more nervous each passing month.

That's how I feel as well. Sometimes I complain about my big SUV and gas but I sure would rather be hit in it than something smaller. Either way I'm screwed but I'll take all the help I can get.
