SAD, SAD, SAD!!!

This may be one of the most troubling stories to write.

This probably won't make the National News, but thought I would share with MJer's to show the extent of what is going on STILL in N.O.

My wife, Tiffany, just talked to a mutual friend today.

Her mother who lives in Metaire (suburb of N.O.) went back to her house yesterday to check on her home and belongings.

Looters were in her house and SHOT her......

DEAD!!!

So, let's see.

This poor woman complies with the Mandatory Evacuation and leaves her home and all her belongings.

She has to watch the news and wonder if her home is o.k. for a week while listening to the horror stories coming out of N.O.

She bides her time and makes her way back to Metairie hoping and praying her house would be o.k. (which it was).

She enters her house, thankful for it being o.k. and is prompltly MURDERED by looters ransacking her home.

This may be one of the most dispicable acts I have heard of.

These c()cksucking, scumbag, mother****ker who murderded, may he rot in hell for eternity.

If they catch this guy, and they probably won't would probably get "life" in prison for his actions.

5 years from now "A&E" would do a special and there he is on T.V. "toting his bible" saying he has "found Jesus" and he knows he is "forgiven" for his past sins.

MAY HE ROT IN HELL!!!!!!!!

Wow, Lawrence. Despicable doesn't even begin to describe it, that is as sick and as vicious an act that there ever could be. I cannot imagine being apart of what you guys are going through down there, and the utter chaos being exploited by these animals, just gets more sickening by the day. But as someone on the radio said, if 4 years after 9/11, which I was 25 miles from on Long Island and my town was hit VERY hard from it, they still haven't begun building the twin towers, I'm hard pressed to believe new orleans will get repaired for many years....I hope/wish that they catch those animals those, what a disguisting act by those animals and a terrible way to die, my deepest thoughts and prayers to your friend, I cannot imagine the pain she is feeling, just horrible

mjolnar - you may wish the responsibility came from the top but it doesn't work that way. The governor has still refused to give the feds power over the states national guard. The mayor of NO refuses to take any responsibility for preparedness, and we go on and on. That being said, what a disgusting state of affairs we have when lawbreaking seems to be the norm. No one in the United States, or anywhere else for that matter, should have that happen to them.

Over 100 arrested in Mississippi for looting. A couple had to be shot for shooting at police. It is interesting white and black both looting. But seems only one group is called looters. Don't matter much who's in charge. Why were we not ready after 9/11 we were told we were.

djv..... this is a different situation than 911 ENTIRELY!!! no criminals expected 9-11, so they didn't have time to plan what rooftops they were gonna go to and act as snipers to protect looters when it hit! even if it was possible to have 60,000 guardsmen there in 2 hours.....those set out to be the bad guys were still gonna do it. IMO, it is likely easier to respond to an unexpected disaster than a predicted one.

Yeah - as much as I am dissappointed in all levels of government over this, there is ultimately a human responsibility above everything else. It's not the government's fault when someone murders. It's 100% the fault of that criminal. We should expect to be safe in our own homes - no matter what. I guess the only thing keeping many people from committing the worst kinds of crime is law enforcement. It's pretty damn depressing.

The reasoning for this decision is solid. By being under the state's control, the National Guard can be used as a police force but once the Guard is federalized they can not per the US Constitution.

All those for gun control, and Im not talking assualt rifles, better think twice before rearing your ugly mugs again soon. I just read where Jack said he would have stayed, to guard his house. SAD SAD shit...but its really not an isolated incident in N.O.

So many of these assholes figure they deserve FREE shit for some reason.

My sister's boyfriend works for the Navy and LIVED in Metairie. We have connections with the D.A so he was able to get there on Sunday before the rest of the folks were able to get in on Monday, and when they drove up to the appartment complex, half of Africa was already there wondering why they had people around there..."CUZ NO BODY SUPPOSE TO BE HERE".

He got to his apartment to see the window next to his door punched out (like most of the others on the ground floor), and when they got in, they were really floored.

PS2 (with MAdden 2006), Xbox, DVD and surround sound, 4 watches, rent check written out to him, numerous bottles of cologne, and what really bugged him, his first rifle from his later grandpa--- all GONE.
None of his clothes were taken, but they were all taken off the hangers and thrown into the shit water in the house. All of his roomates electronics were gone,and all his pornos (no other DVDs missing, but they were in a bag I guess for em to come back and get) and all his clothes were taken (he only weighs about 140 pounds, so the crack smokin looters figured they'd fit in those clothes better)..

And before anyone comes with the gotta survive argument, they left about 50 packs of ramen noodles and enough cans of tuna to sustain life for months, and all they took as far as food....

No food, just stole some damn kool aid, I guess you get thirsty ransacking someone's place like that.

And to be honest, he and myself as well, don't think it was the "LOOTER" thug from downtown but ASSHOLES from the 2nd floor as all the electronic stuff (PS2s, X box, etc) were on the floor, so they would have been wet and useless, that stuff would have to have been stolen by someone waiting for them to get out of town.

ITS SICKENING TO SAY THE LEAST...we are heading for an all out war folks...this will get worse before it gets better.
