Saint--thanks for your advice on this stuff
Wed I decided to go ahead and do the implant instead of just pull.
Little over an hour in the chair--tooth was a big molar upper in back--had a 41 yer old root canal in it-silver tipped-had it done while I was in the Army-dentist was amazed how long it had lasted--still was not bothering me much but just decided to go ahead.
Found some infection in it and on the bone so he scrapped awhile. Put in some graft material, stiched it up. Today I am doing ok. Stiches disolve in 5-7 days. Little swelling on insidee gum and a bump on the outisde gum and feels like I got a big hole/cater in the middle where the tooth was. Back in 2 weeks for checkup. Dentist has called me twice to see how I am doing and answered some ? I had.
On amoxicillin for 7 days and was on pain killer -hydrocodne for 2 days but quit it as not much pain if any.
Now I got to save some $. Pulling/graft/guided tissue-some type of membrane he put in?? This was $ 755--my part $630. Rest of it about another $2370-my part $1560 then back to my regular dentist for the abutment & and crown about another 1500--my part $750. Luckliy I also have a dental implant ride on my dental insurance which pays another 50%. Looks like a year long project. Will update as it goes on. Again I appreiciated your info/advice on this
