7-3 overall in the Playoffs but could have been 8-2 had it not been for the Ravens ruining my solid teaser play last week.

On to the Championship Round!

Pulling the trigger on:

New Orleans Saints +3
(Moneyline +118)
over
Chicago

If you can get the Saints +3 take it? but they won?t need the points this weekend in Chicago?the Saints were a better road team this season going 6-2 SU and face a Bears team that is lucky to be playing this week?the Bears struggled to stop the run last week and face a Saints team that has both power (McAllister) and finesse (Bush) on it?s side?the Bears really miss S Mike Brown and DT Tommie Harris and it?s showed in the teams performance over the last 5 games as their Defense has allowed an average of 26 pts per game and that was against teams that didn?t have the firepower that the Saints team has offensively?I feel the Saints offense has a HUGE advantage on Sunday because they matchup really well against the Bears?Reggie Bush is going to be a matchup nightmare for the Bears and the one thing that the Bears do well on Defense (rush the QB) will be nullified because Drew Brees doesn?t get sacked as he was dumped just 23 times in 580 attempts this season?on the flip side?the question you must ask is ?Do you really trust Rex Grossman???Grossman had an OK game last week?but?.that was against a Seattle team that had a patchwork secondary at the Corner position?I like what the Bears did at times last week running the football but IF the Bears are behind on the scoreboard the ball will be in the hands of ?Sir Rex??I really thought that the Bears special teams (return game) had an advantage last week vs Seattle but it?s a push this week vs the Saints?Matchups? The Saints have the edge at the QB position and a big edge on offense overall?on the flip side?both teams secondary?s can give up yards through the air? the Bears have the edge at the Linebacker position?but the edge goes to the Saints on the D-Line (a very talented group)?Bottom Line? The Saints have destiny on their side much like the Steelers did last season?plus they have a huge edge in the Trends this week?plus they are a better football team than the Bears at this time?plus the Saints offense hasn?t been stopped on the road all season long and I don?t see this Bears unit being able to do it this week?which means that the Bears offense will have to match points with the Saints?which brings me back to my earlier question?Do you really trust Rex Grossman?...My answer is?.

From game one this year, the Saints have had nothing to prove and they have nothing to prove on Sunday. They have just gone out and played solid TEAM football, answering every challenge.
With that said, I think all the pressure is on Chicago and more so on Grossman. I live here in New Orleans. Went through Katrina, lost my house, rebuilt my business and trying to do what everyone here is trying to do, answer the challenge. The Saints and Drew Brees have done that magnificently. One of the keys to their success this year is having about 75% less unanswered opponent points. They fight back and they fight hard. That percent may even be higher. Great write-up First and Goal and look for the Saints to have First and Goal many times on Sunday.

Much is being made of the weather as a possible factor in the game and I can see what people are fearing (a dome team out in inclement weather)...but...this Dome team (Saints) played better outdoors this year 6-2 SU compared to 4-4 SU at home plus last weeks W over Philly...I think the better TEAM will come out on top on Sunday.

Good Luck to you as well!
