I was going to add on to Wox11's thread, but thought I better start a new one.

Just some help here from a frustrated Charger fan. Stick with Cleveland again this week. Bye or not, the Chargers D couldn't stop the little sisters of the poor. More than playing on Cleveland, I will be making my largest wager of the year on the over. I thought it would be around 46 and it sits now at 42.

Check these numbers:

Sep. 7 @Kansas City Loss 27-14
Sep. 14 Denver Loss 37-13
Sep. 21 Baltimore Loss 24-10
Sep. 28 @Oakland Loss 34-31 (OT)
Oct. 5 @Jacksonville Loss 27-21

The Chargers are VERY GOOD at putting together scoring drives when the game is pretty much over, and they are losing. For proof, check Oct 5th. In the Baltimore game, Brees threw 2 INT's in the last 7 minutes in Baltimore territory. I believe that total was 40.

Giving up 27, 37, 24, 34, and 27 points is enough proof of the bad defense.

Just the winder's 2 cents.

I definately love the over for this game, but it seems to me that in the SD JAX game, the SD offense especially David Boston seemed to get thier head out of their asses. One thing is for sure, Clev is the better team, but SD is a very live dogg this week. May lay .5 unit on the SD ML just for shits and giggles. But will definately be with you on the SD OVER. Can you follow up with a post of CLEV offensive output this season. Take care and GL

Browns o/u in an interesting pattern so far..UOUUOU, leaning toward the UNDER myself but will pass on the total. I do think Sandi is the right side though.

n2boca, sweet avatar. pads are gonna get 'em next year. where you from in san diego?

cleveland is only scoring 15.5 a game, pretty weak. BUT, the chargers are giving up almost 30 a game. they make everyone's offense much better. plus, i think couch is coming along, and this defense could give him the break out game of the season to solidify his no. 1 status on the team??

The thing that does scare me, is that clevelands pass defense is no. 2 in the AFC. But this is the way i see the game going: Cleveland gets out to a 14 point lead early. half is somewhere around 17-7. going into the 4th, it's 24-10. Chargers score a few late, only to lose again, 31-24.

any other input would help.

Yup, Im from SD and lay my bets down in TJ where the beer and the women are cheap. You from around the area????

Anyways, I dont know if you have been surfing this forum much, but WOLFPACKER put up an interesting trend about 0-4 road doggs coming off a bye week. According to the system, chargers are a shoe in. After so much talk, hoopla, and a little research, I am seriously going to lay some wood on the SD ML . One thing no one has mentioned in post is that LaDanian tomlinson comes back very strong after a weak performance. Last week he had under 50 yds. i believe. So Clev having the #2 pass Def will not be as big of a factor. Well GL to you and go CHARGERS!!!

n2boca,
Earlier in the week I thought Sandi looked pretty good too as a play, but after rethinking it and seeing so many folks on Sandi on many different sites....I really think CLEVELAND covers today.

Well, here is how I see it , The Browns are amongst the lowest scoring outfits in the NFL at around 15-16 ppg. If Green is running well early on, the Browns will continue to rush the ball all day long as we saw last week vs. the Raiders. This will keep the scoring down.

Perhaps the best shot for the over players here would be for Green to get stuffed early and often forcing the Browns to pass into a very suspect Charger secondary. We all saw how effective the Browns passing game looked at Pittsburgh when they spread the field and used all of their weapons with lethal efficiency.

The Browns have a very talented group of receivers but the million dollar question is will Bruce use them???

The browns are still searching for their true identity on offense, and even though I see them every week, I still often can't figure out just what the hell their trying to do on a week to week basis.

No play for me on this total. and a small play on SD +5

well, it was close, but a win is a win with the over. i really thought cleveland was going to come back and win. it just looked o too familiar. congrats to those on the chargers, especially the money line!! nice one spang!! although it went over by only one point, there were several other scoring opportunities on both sides.

chargers are starting to hit their stride offensively, look for overs the rest of the way. their d played well in the first half, but started sucking wind late. very typical the last 3-4 years.

tonight, i like the over as well. scores for these two teams this year:

KC
San Diego Win 27-14
Pittsburgh Win 41-20
Houston Win 42-14
Baltimore Win 17-10
Denver Win 24-23
Green Bay Win (OT) 40-34

Oak:
Tennessee Loss 20-25
Cincinnati Win 23-20
Denver Loss 10-31
San Diego Win (OT) 34-31
Chicago Loss 21-24
Cleveland Loss 7-13

I see a lot points on both sides of KC's wins. Plain and simple, they score a bunch. Oaklands Defense is very suspect to both the run and pass, last against the run in the AFC. Priest should have a field day. KC's defense is near the bottom in both as well in the AFC, giving up 243 ypg against the pass. Someone posted Porter may play tonight? If so, this game goes well OVER the posted total of 48.

just my 2 cents.....
