Regarding players and hometowns, that info would be in the SANDS CASINO database. Unfortunately, I was only contracted by the Sands and do not have that information. The only data available is the players and hometowns of those who finished in the money.

Regarding logos, this was a problem. I tend to be very pro-player on this issues, as unless the networks pony up the entry fees, players MUST retain their rights to do as they please. Unfortunately, all of the poker sites whored themselves out and tried to get all the players to wear hats and shirts. The going rate depended on the chip count, but it averaged $20,000. Daniel Negreanu won a lot of respect from me by not succumbing to the temptation to wear the hat on behalf on one of the sites. I understand the the money is very enticing, but the problem with this is -- it will look ridiculous if every player is wearing the smae hat. It robs the players of their identities. It would be fine if these players REPRESENTED the sites, but to have five players wearing XYX Poker Room, smacks of excessive pandering to interests that have no relationship to the event.
