Obviously Sandusky did the crime. Paterno and others protected him, but that doesn't mean Paterno or anyone else gets "all the blame". Nor does it mean I or anybody else "hanged it all" on Paterno.

Paterno all of the sudden gets a pass simply because he died. America is guilty of remembering it's dead all too fondly.
Paterno was guilty of poor judgement and being an awful human being when it comes to this situation. He was arrogant and selfish and put football ahead of the well being of those kids.
The bullshit excuse about him telling his superiors being all that he was required to do is just that, bullshit. I don't care what the letter of the law says, CHILDREN WERE BEING RAPED, you do something about that.
Paterno, while otherwise an icon, may not be legally responsible here but he is guilty as shit.

I do not think Paterno was to blame at all...he reported it to his boss, they covered it up :shrug:

Paterno looked the other way. He placed Penn state football ahead of innocent children. He deserved to be fired, and I wish he could have been prosecuted for being a selfish bastard. No good will that he may have spread in his lifetime makes up for looking the other way and allowing sandusky to continue to use Penn state as a vehicle to meet, rape and molest children.
