good luck buddy! Nothin' like being in plus units!
TX papers report Dallas may indeed have reached some breaking point with Coach reprimanding team and goalie in public:
From Ft Worth Star-Telegram.....Tippett said Turco definitely will play tonight, despite his recent woes.
"There are a lot of aspects to our team that have to get better, and goaltending is a big one," Tippett said. "We expect Marty to be a top goaltender every night. Whether he expects it or not, that's the role that we put him in, and he has to take that responsibility and give us a chance to win every night.
"There are a lot of goals. If you look at the first two goals [Thursday] night, there are other things that happened. Are they bad mistakes by the goalie? No. But are they goals that we expect Marty to stop? Yes. And that's the difference.
"It's not as if we're asking for something that we don't know is there."
The rest of the Stars' skaters have not made Turco's job any easier the past two games. Against Vancouver, a torrent of penalties ruined Dallas' evening; against Los Angeles, too many turnovers and overall timid play doomed the Stars.
After five consecutive one-goal games, suddenly the Stars are having trouble keeping the score close.
