Can't get excited about today's card cause there are way too many horses that I'm not familiar with at all. Gonna post the two best VALUE plays for the two races that just barely make it to being playable.
1st race: No. 4 (10 to 1) is well worth the odds. New trainer at Philly, Kantarmaci, is holding his own here, good jockey helps as well. Celebratemehome , beat better EASILY earlier this summer and closes better than most in here and BEST OF ALL gets very good figures from my handicapping number crunching thingy.
Other one would be no. 8. Wild Street Girl (5/1). Just discard this one's last race and this hoss looks like it should be ODD-ON (er... that is, less than 1/1). I only play hosses that get good figures and this one has them. I hope they don't bet this own down too much. I'll be using both of these with my trifectas for this race. BTW, the way that works is -- if at least one of them finishes first or second then my chances for hitting the tri goes way up IF neither runs 1st or 2nd - I loose on all tickets.
6th race: I'd be pretty confident IF this race wasn't on the dang turf. Here's the two for this one:
Second choice, No. 5 Billy the Bull, just looks too good to leave out. This one has a lot going for it. How about 9 WNS for 17 on the turf and 5 for 6 ITM (won half of them) for starters. Holy Bull/Great Above bloodlines.. OH YEEAH.
BUT, this is Philly and big surprises are common here and my other one is no. 6 at 20 to 1:scared Baby Cat. Looks like a cwazy plick, but I'm just posting the ones that I'll be playing today.
