Thanks for the kudos. 5-0 felt pretty good. On a personal level, what felt even better was my leans on the totals went 7-2 and I didn't play one of the losers.

Here's something worth keeping an eye on. When Webber came back, I said it wouldn't help Sac. His numbers so far look very impressive but that's all that looks good. Sac was 15-5 (12-7 ats) without him with wins over SA twice and LAL once. Since his return they are 4-3 (2-5 ats) and it gets worse. The worst beating they took before his return was by 12 points. In the three loses since his return they have averaged losing by a whopping 19 points (12, 20, and 26). It appears to me that the difference is the intensity level on both ends of the floor. It will take a while for Vegas to adjust because most people think that Webber's return will make Sac a better team and it is to Vegas' advantage to leave the lines alone. There should be some bargains in the next week or two.

an early circle on SAC tonight w/ webber in question. starting off LAC as a -1 is a bit questionable to me... with or without webber. the odom return to LAC has paid better dividends to LAC than webber to SAC.

looking forward to your picks.

Actually, what the differnce is between pre and post webber is obvious and was predictable. What the problem is, when webber is on the floor thats 5 starters that like to have the ball in there hands, thats far to many, ask past portland teams. Simple fact is, with pollard in he did all the little things, played d, made the cut to the open spot and rebounded. There rebounding numbers have been horrible with webber, simple fact they need to deal webber and cleaves to detriot for wallace, willamson, atkins. That would improve both teams in every way imo. Tonight, divac is out, thats good for sac because for whatever reason he cant play with webber, with pollard starting there gonna be a better team tonight. Also, christie and webber are still questionable.

Christie and Webber have been upgraded to probable....

D, I started to make the same comments about Divac and Pollard. Pollard is willing to do all the dirty work that don't show up in the stats but every winning team has to have someone like him. I would guess Webber and Christy will play tonight and if the line stays here everyone will be on Sac. Might make my screwy line award.

Your comment about too many stars reminds me of two teams. The old Phil Sixers with Doc, Collins, McGinnis, and Bobby Jones. The best money could buy at that time. If they were 2 points ahead they played as a team and were unbeatable, 2 points behind and they all became super stars and might lose to anyone. This is the team that lost in the finals to Walton and the Port team of over-achievers. The other was the old LA team with West, Goodrich, Baylor, and Chamberlain. Also the best money could buy. The difference was that Chamberlain (the NBAs leading scorer) took it upon himself to become the junk man and lead the NBA in both rebounding (got 50 twice that year) and assists. To my knowledge he's the only center to lead the NBA in assists. The big difference, an NBA championship.

Screwy line of the day award goes to Hou +8.
Mil is not a good road team winning only 2 of their last 8 road games over the last month. Mem by 9 and Phil (who Mem beat at Phil) are the only wins. On the other hand, Mil is one of only three teams to have lost to Mia this year. The other two are Sea and Hou. I have figured this line every way possible and keep coming up with 3 to 5 tops. Keep in mind also that during this 15 game losing streak Hou has lost by 15 or more only 3 times. They were in the rest of the games late into the fourth. What they need is a closer, the guy they can count on in the fourth. They are playing better every night and Griffin might be that closer. They quit going to him against LAL and that might have been the difference in the outcome. Mil also has been known to play to the level of the competition and if they under-estimate Hou tonight they will lose outright. You won't catch me on Mil tonight.

Already wrote a book or two today so will keep it short. Leans today Det +3 adv, don't like the last game of long road trip, Sea o, Hou + 4 adv and o, Phoe u. Clips line looks like an invitation to play Sac. Might go with Clips later.

Watch yourself tonight, dnuggets commented on another thread that he couldn't make up his mind. That's because there's not a line out there that makes any sense (sides). Here's all I can come up with.

Hou +8
o 189
Sea o 192

Good luck everyone
