Kansas City area for who knows how long....
on crap dialup here, couldn't check some sites (downloading too slow) and not all sat paper pieces up yet. so should be some updates. Post any below...

Dallas----Turco sez official site. He's allowed 2 or less goals in 13 of his last 16 starts.....under is 6-0-2 last 8 meetings.....paper sez "In the 16 games Mike Modano has missed since the start of the 1998-99 season, the Stars have scored just 34 goals but are 7-6-2-1."....

New Jersey---Brodeur sez Star-Ledger (which also sez Rafalski "expected" and Gionta out).....NJ PP 0-29 now......could be classic goalie shootout between arguably the top two out there, not surprised to see the 4.5 line (that the first this season?).

Ottawa---Lalime I assume, with Prusek getting last start......last 9 meetings went under.....Ott has lost just 2 in last 13 games.

Phila---Chech I expect, with Esche getting the last.....Phila's top two scorers out today....Phila under 14-3 at home this season.....Ott under 2-5 last 7 games....Phila is 2 points behind Ott and Boston (eastern leaders).

Florida----Lunongo to start back to back? who else is there?.....FL is 4-0-3-3 on road last 10......Leading scorer Jokinen could be out with hip pointer.

Boston---Shields I assume, with Grahame getting last.

Buffalo----Biron to get back to back? with holiday rest coming up, these important and good starting goalies should see consecutive starts......Buff is 1-6-1 this season on 0 days rest, with under hitting 6-2.

Montreal---Theodore I assume.....Montreal beat bad by Buff in last meeting, which was MTL home opener.

Washington----Kolzig I would expect.....WA PP 3 for 48 of late...

NY Islanders---should be Osgood, with di Pietro getting last start.....NYI 0-19-3 vs WA before a 5-4 home victory last April.

San Jose---Nabokov I expect. He was pulled in last start....SJ playing 4th road game in 6 nights tonight.

Toronto---Belfour it should be.....Leafs looking to tie franchise record tonight for consecutive home wins....Belfour in goal in all of those last 8 home wins, giving up only 13 goals (3 shutouts).

NY Rangers----Dunham one would expect....AP preview sez

"The Red Wings have beaten the Rangers five straight times by a combined score of 28-6, and haven't lost to New York at home since Jan. 30, 1999. Detroit has won six of the last seven meetings at Joe Louis Arena.

To make matters worse for the Rangers, they come into the game struggling while the Red Wings are playing perhaps their best hockey of the season."

Detroit----Joseph, must be after surprising start given to Legace in big game.

Calgary---Turek I assume......Calg 0-9-2 last 11 at Pitt

Pittsburg---Hedberg, should be. Coach still alternating them pretty regular......team gonna try and avoid tying franchise record 11 consecutive losses today.

Nashville----Vokoun. who else is there? .....team has six straight unders now.

Tampa Bay----Khabib, with Hodson getting last start.....team has 3 victories in last 12 games.

Minnesota---Fernandez. coach alternating the starts here pretty regular.....MN is 0-5-1 all time at Colorado

Colo---Roy.......under 10-3 colo's last 13.

Edmonton---Salo

Vancouver--Cloutier, with Skudra getting last.

Post your updates and info below! and good luck everyone!

Peter Forsberg, Colorado Avalanche - Forsberg is probable for Saturday's game against the Wild. He has been practicing for the last two days and is showing no ill effects of the mild concussion he suffered last week.

Joe Sakic, Colorado Avalanche - Sakic is doubtful for Saturday's game with a sprained ankle. MRI results showed no significant damage and Sakic is eying a return for Monday's game against the Canucks.

Lindy Ruff recently stated that Noronen will start one of the Sabres' upcoming two games, either today or Monday. Since Martin Biron played yesterday, it wouldn't be surprising at all if Noronen got the call tonight against the Habs.
