Vermont -6.5 over Albany ***
Albany just knocked off No 1 seed Stony Brook by 2 and beat Maine by 1 to make it into the finals of the Amer. East..they have a great gd in Black who won the SB game...Albany has problems with scoring...Vermont won last yrs finals at SB...this morning 11.30 am est..10.30 my time I think Vermont wins this low scoring game by close to double digits...Vermont beat them here at Patrick Gym way back in early Jan 70-45 and won @ Albany 50-43...Vermont plays better defense,is more physical and can rebound..led by a forward named Voelkel who avg's 6 pts a game..but almost 8 bds a game and has over 150 ast's...he is a pt forward who has amazing vision on the court... of all of my favorite players in the country I love watching Voelkel....if you get a chance this morning watch this kid... Vermont has balanced scoring and I think with their defense they can hold Albany down...they have enough offense to put Albany away....big factor though..they are playing @ Vermont in Patrick Gym..sold out with only room for 3,228 fans....this is a tough place to play...Vermont fans are calling it a "House Party". Albany is playing good at tourney time...But Vermont has been here before in the finals and won...playing at home I think its a "party" going to the big dance..
Back later with a few more..
Went 4-3 yest..

I have no doubt the Catamounts will best the Great Danes today but the big number scares me. I agree that it will be a low scoring game which would tell me to take the generous 6.5 points. What convinced me was this post & how much the venue will matter. Gonna tail ya B&1. Good Luck today & for the entire tourney!!!:0008 Go Cats!!!!

After opening with a 10-0 run to start Cats now look inept and out of sync...hope they turn it around in the 2nd half..

Vermont came out smoking with that 12-0 lead....but its been downhill since...Albany playing great defense..Vermont offense can't do anything...hopefully they wake up at the half....
