LaSalle -6 over Manhattan ****
After watching this team last yr it has to be a nightmare for any opposing coach trying to figure out a defense to stop their attack...Galloway is gone but the trio of Garland,Duren and Mills are back..Duren is one of the best pt gds in the country.Garland is one of the quickest gds if not the quickest in the country..inside they have Wright who could probably start at DT or DE for the Eagles next door....think this sweet 16 team won't catch anyone by surprise this yr but they are talented...Manhattan comes in as the fav. to win the MAAC...they get Beamon back who missed all of last yr..6'7 Brown led in scoring and was the Def POY the last 2 times in the MAAC..Alvardo is a smooth pt gd..they get 6'10 Pankey a Terp transfer who can be an impact player in the MAAC..but MC will have problems on defense..Beamon and co will have a tough time trying to stop the Explorers..Brown who dominates in the MAAC as a great shot blocker will have a tough time vs Wright,7'0 Zack,etc...think the Jaspers can stay with them awhile but the Exp's gds will play such a uptempo game that MC is not used too...plus the LaSalle gds never turn the ball over...think they win by 10-14 pts..
