Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Over 8 FL/Mets -105
Detroit +160
Colorado -140

Burnett has 1.14 era at home in day, and 4.82 day on road.
His team is 4-0 in those starts at home, 3-8 on road.
this doesn't include his loss on the road in day this season at Phil.

Trachsel has 4.92 era at home in day (not including loss this season, and all these stats for last 3 seasons) and his team is 5-14 in those starts:eek:

also noticed that Miller's teams are 10-4 (2.34 era) in his road day starts. But he hasn't been himself of late.

Detroit's Knott has been pretty sharp, and Affeldt's 4.96 era is well deserved. This HP ump is tough on big home favorites too.

Colo's Cruz in in a groove, and I can't see Condrey doing too well there. Colo playing well of late, and especially at home this season so far.

tough spot for Tigers

tough spot for Tigers

Royals are off to their best start ever and are playing in front of enthusiastic, vocal crowds. They stranded 20 baserunners friday, Det may not be so lucky today.

Respect Tigers P Knotts but I can't play them here. Will wait for a less hostile venue to back Det.

I show T Welke behind the plate at KC today. So far the home fav has won all 4 of his games this year. It is still too early to get much real help from the umps and what they did in the past will just get you in trouble. Don't think going against what they are doing this year is a good idea at this time. Good luck today.

few more

SF -113
over 8.5 Phila/ATL

taking the hot team and better pitcher in SF. Moss does win tho he leaves so many on the plates...

I'm thinking those Phila bats, which swing on the road well this season, will get to Hampton. and Padilla is always good for a few too.

yeah, gsp, not smart to put much into ump stuff this early. I just noticed that going against big home faves was money last few seasons with T.Welke, and the two that won this season were much closer than should have been, so I think he's staying in character. But not much to consider, really..

JimO and Loop, it probably isn't smart taking Detroit here. Got some feeling they have a shot today. But smart thing would be to go against this team when value is there, and never try to guess the few times they might win.

and Loop, that snake comment has a different meaning to an old snake hunter like me! Used to be this time of year I'd be in W TX looking for those blond subocs and mexican milksnakes on moonless nights.

On picking up a snake----One time some fellows from England wanted a pair of western diamondback rattlers and my buddy (survived to become a real zoology perfesser today...) had to sex 17 before he found a female. You sex them by holding them upside down while your buddy carefully inserts a probe in the uro/genetal vent to see how far it will go.

but those days are gone, gonna hang by the pool and check out the chicks and scene at mondo tiki today. Might be online latter. gotta run to put in the Colo bet and might parlay that with cubbies.

good luck to everyone!
