Phil usually hit Zam well and Phil 14-3 this season in game 2 of a series if lost the first. Abbott been better at home and Cubs not seen him...Thome should be back.

George off embarrassing start and I expect a nice bounceback as he usually kills Cleve. Tanadano excellent as starter so far. and ump has been all unders. Then there's that Cleve pen...

still convinced STL should cover a -1.5! But Tomko could be very sharp against his former team...STL 11-2 this season when home fave -150 to-175.

I expect nice pitcher duel there at Pitt.

for some reason this feels to me like a spot for Detroit to win, but that's the gut talking. Johnson puts up fine numbers, and he's 7-8 in decisions this season--but team is 7-13 in his starts (tho 2-3 on road)

taking Colo just as a play against AZ. They got the big unit up tomorrow, you think they'd look to that for their win to break streak.

Almost took Sele as he usually gets it done on the road, has had a few very fine outings here, and he's fighting for his rotation spot (you gotta think) Ana very good against lefties on road.......that Cleve -1.5 +113 looks real good, have to check lineups for second game as Factsman sez could be quite different...

gl on your plays buddy...you are right Sele needs a nice start today otherwise Ortiz may be taking back his spot as he has been awesome in the pen and crying to either be put back to a starter or be traded which still may happen.....Looking for Halos to sweep em up north.....so you unloading on the over 8 in LA tonight ??....good luck pal

Cleve lineup looks good, I'm going for the -1.5 figguring hot bats should stay that way.

Sele I noticed pitched at Safeco twice last season and gave up 1 er, 6 hits in 9 innings total of work.

I read this in preview:
" Villone is 0-0 with a 6.94 ERA in 12 career relief appearances _ a total of 11 2-3 innings _ against the Angels."

that LA total has gone to 7.5 at some books, so I think I will take the over. But the inherent unpredictability of these starters keeps my bet small and not a listed one (probably means it will go over by 5th!). Alvarez has had problems all season long he hasn't figured out.

I also read that Durbin has been itching to get a start and got up too late this morning to put one down on him!

everythings fine up here in NW (tho a bit hot these few days) my plans should firm up in a week or so and figure out my return to Las Vegas and Texas.
