St. John's put a scare into UConn when the teams met in Storrs last month. And that was with leading scorer Marcus Hatten playing one of his worst halves of the season. The Huskies held on for a 75-70 victory

Marcus Hatten is hoping to rebound from last month's poor performance against UConn for today's rematch.
Hoping to get a complete performance from its point guard, the Red Storm (15-7 overall, 5-5 Big East) plays host to the Big East-leading Huskies (15-5, 7-2) in a rematch tonight at the Garden.

"I was no-show out there for 30 minutes," Hatten said after the first meeting. "I should have delivered at the end. I should have had it going earlier. I waited too long."

Hatten finished with a respectable 16 points ? scoring them all in the last 8:52 ? but was kept at bay for the most of the game by a rotating defense that gave him few good looks.

According to UConn coach Jim Calhoun, "If our best scorer didn't score until there were about eight minutes to go, where would we be? And that may tell you more about St. John's and the resolve they have as a team. We got all we could handle."
