thats was a great call, john....i just sat down at comp. to read some posts and was cracking an iron as i read ure reply..
after driving 10-hrs. with 4-girls and the wife....i will be throwing down many iron city's tonite...
the 2-things i miss the most when im away from pitts. is the beer and pittsburgh pizza.
ive never been anywhere that can compare to the pizza around here...so ive ordered my pizza
and got the beer on ice...time to kick back and enjoy the ball games..

ps. fletch, your one helluva character!!

i will be spending a bunch of time in buffalo this year. son plays in empire west league. noticed your w.seneca location- they have a hockey team in the league. hamburg is another. wheatfield??. can't remember them all. it is a new league for us.
buffalo wings will be on the agenda. last time there, i bought some molson beer for something like 6 bucks for a 12 pack. couldn't believe it. is it like that all the time?

mineos is considered the best pizza here in pgh.
although, i prefer aellios pizza which is about 5-doors up from mineos...i live in greenfield which is about a mile from there..

what part of pgh. are u from?

well, if u want to hear a classic drunk broadcast team now here in pitt. just tune into myron cope and bill hillgrove doing a steeler game...i think hillgrove just drinks to put up with myron...wow these 2 are a trip...ive listened to them many times on the radio and neither one has a clue..its hilarious...

jm...im sure buffalo has some good pizza...
but most places ive been to, they dont have a clue..as to what good pizza is..
ive driven thru buff. a few times on my way to canada..ive always liked the ballpark u see from the hi-way..is that pilot field?
is it still there?

I am curious too as to that ballpark you see from, I90 or I190 whatever they call that beltway. I will be passing it next Sunday sometime. I think it is their minor league team stadium. Buffalo does look clean passing through.

JohnWise, yes that is a good league your son is in and i believe it is the same league my nephew is in--very good one.

as far as the downtown ball park, yes it is the minor league stadium new name is dunn tire park pretty nice stadium--seats 20,000 and could be added on to 40,000 thought if they ever got into the majors

when they were building it i was an investigator back then and did some security at nite

and as far as the beer not a big drinker, but sure you can find prices like that here w/the canadian border just a stone throw away.

A buddy of mine said the Corbin Hanner band still plays around Pittsburgh occasionally. Geez, I remember sneakin' into bars in Oakland to see them play in the early 70's! They must be as old as Mick Jagger!

i was in the decade when i was about 17 listened to a band, tried to pick-up some women,got drunk as hell and had to walk home
about 5-miles...doing the curly shuffle..2-steps forward 1-step backward..

Prospector, WOW!!!! the cost of living up there in Muskoka has doubled the price of beer...???? How do you guys survive there...???

the only place I know in Canada that has a higher cost of living is the NWT and the Yukon...seriously man....the Yukon girls are gorgeous!!!! Any guys from Canada wanna go with me on a pilgrimmage to the Yukon and find some Klone-Dykes????
