Colts at Jets

These clubs met twice last season. The Colts recorded a 45-24 victory on Sept. 9 as a 2 ?-point road underdog and the Jets notched a 29-28 home victory in the Dec. 23 rematch in a pick?em game. Both contests leaped ?over? the closing total

--Indianapolis is 5-3 SU and 4-4 ATS on the road, with the 'over' going 5-2-1.

--The 'over' had cashed three straight times for the Colts before going 'under' in their season-finale win versus Jacksonville.

--The Colts are 2-0 both SU and ATS this season when closing as more than a five-point underdog. They defeated Philadelphia as a 9 ?-point road ?dog, 35-13, and edged Denver in overtime as a 6 ?-point road underdog, 23-20.

--New York, the AFC East champion, is 5-3 SU and 4-3-1 ATS at Giants Stadium.

--The 'over' has cashed in the Jets' past two games after going 'under' four consecutive contests.

--After starting the season with a 1-4 record both SU and ATS, the Jets went 8-3 SU and 8-2-1 ATS. In addition, the Jets did not allow more than 20 points in eight of those last 11 outings.

--The Jets closed as more than a three-point favorite just once this season. They dropped a 20-13 decision to the Chicago Bears on Dec. 15 as a 6 ?-point road favorite.

Falcons at Packers

--Atlanta lost to Green Bay on Opening Day, 37-34, but covered the spread as a 7 1/2-point road underdog. The combined 71 points soared ?over? the closing 42 ?-point total.

--Atlanta had seen the 'over' cash five straight times before the 'under' appeared during a season-ending loss to Cleveland.

--The Falcons were 4-3-1 SU and 6-2 ATS on the road, with the 'over' also going 6-2. They were 4-1 ATS as a road underdog.

--Green Bay, the NFC North champion, is 8-0 SU and 5-3 ATS at Lambeau Field. The club closed as a home favorite on each occasion.

--In addition, the Packers are a perfect 11-0 SU all-time in playoff games at Lambeau.

--The Packers lost their chance at gaining a first-round bye last week when the Jets handed them a 42-17 spanking. It ended Green Bay?s four-game SU winning streak.

Browns at Steelers

These two rivals met during Week 4, with the Steelers notching a 16-13 overtime victory as six-point home favorites. The combined 29 points dipped well ?under? the closing 44-point total.

--Cleveland is a sparkling 6-2 SU and 7-1 ATS away from home this season. In addition, the squad is 6-1 ATS as an away underdog.

--The Browns finished the regular campaign by going 8-2 ATS to lift their overall spread record to 11-5.

--Pittsburgh ended the regular season on a three-game SU winning streak. However, the club was 2-7 ATS in its last nine contests to finish at 5-10-1 ATS overall.

--While the Steelers are 5-2-1 SU at home, they are just 2-6 ATS. The ?over? is 5-3 both at home and on the road.

--Pittsburgh, yielding 20 points or more in seven of its last nine overall encounters, is 1-3 ATS as a home favorite of six points or more this season.

Giants at 49ers

--These squads met in the league opener (Thursday night, Sept. 5), with San Francisco outlasting the Giants 16-13. However, the 49ers barely failed to cover the spread as four-point road favorites. The combined 19 points never threatened the 38 ?-point closing total.

--The Giants ended the regular season with a four-game winning streak both SU and ATS, including a 10-7 victory against the Eagles in the season finales. The combined 17 points ended the Giants? string of four consecutive ?under? games.

--New York is 5-3 both SU and ATS on the road, with the ?over/under? divided equally.

-The Giants surrendered 17 point or less on 10 occasions this season.

--San Francisco limps into the playoffs by going 0-7-1 ATS in its last eight regular season contests. The slide has seen the squads overall spread record dip to 4-10-2.

--Though the 49ers are 5-3 SU at home, they are just 2-5-1 ATS ? all in the favorite?s role.

--The 49ers scored 17 points or less in four of their last seven outings.

Maybe what he meant is proof read the first 2 points in the Giants writeup? In the first there's a math error; in the second, the 17-point game ended a 4-game run of Overs, not Unders.

Small stuff.
