ST. LOUIS (Morris) -130 over CHICAGO CUBS (Estes)

It's safe to say that the Cards are over their mini
offensive slump. They've battered Kirk Rueter and Kerry Wood
for 20 runs in their last two games so going against Shawn
Estes (6.43 ERA last three starts, 5.38 for the year, 6.46
vs. St. Louis since 2000) should be a piece of cake. Matt
Morris is 9-2 lifetime vs. Chicago with a 3.53 ERA including
2-0 this year with a 1.59.The Redbirds are averaging 7.7 RPG
against southpaws.

phillies:D padilla has won three straight decisions, four of the last five, while fla penny has been ripped for 26 hits and 21 earned runs in just 15 innings! power play:D

Apparently the Cardinals, Cubs or Astros aren?t going to run away and hide in the NL Central. Every series involving these teams will have a ?playoff-type? atmosphere and you can bet that Tony LaRussa and Dusty Baker will be managing with that in mind. The Cards won four of the first six (+$200) so expect a huge effort from the homesters. The problem is that not one Chicago starter is in the black at home. That leads us to the Cardinals with Matt Morris (9-2 lifetime with a 3.53 ERA, 2-0 this year) especially if he hooks Shawn Estes (5.01 lifetime ERA, 97 hits/walks in 70 innings). BEST BET: Morris.

Morris has had xtra rest to cure the arm trouble that was screwing his mechanics or the bad mechanics that was giving him arm trouble. Either way he should be good to go. Have to take him at this price even if it were a trap. Too good a pitcher to pass up....IMO.

Just a note to the MIL-COLO matchup, and I'm sure Raymond knows this, but for those that don't--------MIL is kike 4-15 vs. LH starters for the season. This will turn out to be a "no play" for me. GL

Ray,

Love the STL, Philly, and Bal over. Curious, do you have any thoughts on the Sox-Yank game. Really like taking a shot on the Sox's bats vs Clemens at a value of +200. Then back that bet with the over. Your thoughts are appreciated.
