Nothing we?ve seen from the Angels this year makes us think they can make it back to the World Series. They?ve been simply dreadful on the road (5-10, -$650), so they?ll have their hands full with a Red Sox team that checks in at 11-4 (+$245) at Fenway. We?d take the Bosox throughout, but the decline in their pitching staff is cause for concern (4.90 team ERA, 4th worst in the league). We?ll use them against Jarrod Washburn (-$405) as they look to build on that 5-1 (+$345) home record vs. lefties. BEST BET: Red Sox vs. Washburn.

The Royals are still in first place (22-13, +$1240) but we?re not sure how long that can last. After posting the lowest team ERA in the American league in April, their pitching has begun to fade (4.27 team ERA, 5th best). The Blue Jays pitching is horrible, but they can slug it out with the best of them (.283 team BA, 2nd best in the league), and they are averaging close to 6 runs per game on the road vs. righties. Lidle is likely to miss this series, but Halladay will definitely be available. Well take either one. BEST BET: Halladay

The Rangers? already dismal pitching situation (5.90 ERA, worst in the AL) continues to deteriorate (10.70 ERA among starters last 10 days), with Valdes & Park sidelined and a parade of fill-ins failing to get the job done. The Yankees have no such difficulty (3.63 ERA, 2nd best in the league) and they can swing the bats just as well as Texas can. And for all their offensive prowess, Texas is vulnerable to lefties (4-8, -$250 with only 4.1 runs per game). Luckily, they?ll miss Wells, but Pettitte is due to take a turn. BEST BET: Pettitte.

MONTREAL (Day) -120 over COLORADO (Young)

We're going to tempt fate and go against the Rockies at
Coors Field, something we generally avoid. But Zach Day
has burst upon the NL in spectacular fashion (+$710, 2.73
ERA in 8 starts), while Colorado's Jason Young takes the
hill after a lackluster effort in his first start last Monday. The
Expos proved they can win in an unfavorable setting, with
a win last night and a sweep of the Giants in Pac Bell Park
earlier in the week. Lay the short price on the superior arm.

Ray, i respect you and your picks, and i know boston is good at home, but i cant bet lowe. Hes the biggest fluke in baseball. The Sox bullpen is awful too. I think Garret and the boys bash up lowe like the twins and rangers did. Like your other picks though and love prior and the cubbies today. Good luck!!!!
