Having those able to knock your spy and military satellites out is not a good idea. We can't even fight a war any more with out them. The Iraq thing has turn into civil war, door to door fighting. Your satellites are not as important. When you use them to find targets and aim your smart bombs. All special communications. Once down your back to older ways that can make playing field even or leave you behind. Were fools for letting China go forward. Sounds like we may be late. I some times wonder how we think. I wonder what they developed that they hit there target. I wonder if they might share it with us.

I'm not near as concerned with China as Russia selling weapons--It would be my guess if there was was ever a world war China and U.S. would be allies--my reasoning is have very long memories--Their hate for japan will probably never subside and they haven't forgot we came to their aid against same.
Also the population in general has favorable attitude towards America--Bet no one has ever saw demonstration against U.S. in China--think about it--

DTB I as you have many friends and past business associates in China. Great folks and your correct would rather join us. How ever there government is very aggressive right now in going forward with there space programs. They don't buy Bush's idea it's only us who need it because we might get attacked. Our military a Cornall Hunt and a General sorry did not get his name. One on good morning show MSNBC and one on Fox. Both said the is heck of lot more serious then anyone in our administration has said. Said no question China is sending our government a message.

Wayne,

Did you miss I/O's accurate Walmart rant?

Usually you're there to defend Walmart in about 5 minutes if someone slams them.

I guess it just depends who the poster is, huh?

........................................................

I think the ships headed to Iran are there for intervention techniques.

Not good to have spy satelites knocked out or military ones either. Big threat if China can do this and we can't.

Thanks Matt--any facts below in dispute by anyone?

Fact Walmart is largest retailer--why--cheapest prices--who does this benefit most--people on limited budget.

Fact Walmart is leader in U.S. in employment

Fact Last walmart store to open in Chicago area had 25,000 apps for 325 jobs--

Appears the liberals are the only one whining about Walmart--Appears "the people" think differently.

--and with Walmart producing so many jobs--and mecca market of the thrify --just why do liberals (the defenders of the unfortunte) have their panties in a wad.

Lets see if there is logical explaination and follow the money.

Hmmm Lets see who is biggest contributer to Dem party--what Labor Unions:scared who would have fcking thought.
"A SINGLE LABOR UNION HAS COMMITTED $65 MILLION to defeating President George. W. Bush this November, reported the July 12 BusinessWeek Magazine"

ah lets see labor unions are pissed that largest employer and retailer in U.S. doesn't fork over dues to them so who other to call on for help but those they been forking out this money to--The Dems--Hello anybody home?

--but the biggest fraud in this union/dems marriage--is the unions force conservative members to contibute to liberal campaigns thru unions dues--

Democrats created the laws that have allowed unions to impose themselves on unwilling workers, get away with using violence and threats of violence to enforce their power, and extract involuntary ?dues? from worker paychecks. In order to keep buying this privileged power from government, Unions kick back many millions of dollars in extorted dues to Democrat lawmakers, governors and Presidents.

The result is a money-laundering operation in which leftwing politicians appropriate money for themselves, using friendly labor unions as the middle-men intermediaries who expropriate it from workers. Nearly 40 percent of union workers today are registered Republicans, but a sizeable chunk of their wages is taken and used to elect Democrats."

--is that enough Matt or would you like more?

Bottom line in the late Sam Kennison's mode

if you don't like Walmart "don't fcking shop there" :142smilie

"So China got this from us 10 years ago. And 10 years later they find out how to use it. Please. If Bush want's to have a space race he's nuts. But he says we will go forward with this type testing. China and Japan both said we should look into treaties not to take a missile race to space. Bush has turn those talk down. He Keeps saying we have to worry about the king of earth N Korea. Here he's wrong again it's not N Korea. Might he ever learn.
Ray is dead right. China just sent a message to Bush you want a space race. You got it. Just one problem China did what we have not. Knocked the dam thing out of the sky 420 miles up.
So Doc you think they did this with something we gave them. We must still be learning. Or maybe the bastards got ahead of us? In any case this is not a good thing."

These threads crack me up...Do any of you read a newspaper? We've had this technology for decades and last decided to shoot down a satellite in the mid-80s. :142smilie

My problem with Wall Mart is not how they treat there workers. Or that 20000 folks sign up just so they can keep there unemployment check coming. Really don't want job, oldest game on the books. I'll give you 1000 of them did. Should be that many going to school that want part time work. No I don't as you say F shop their for other reasons. Like I don't because it's the size of these big boxes but why so dirty. And why such narrow isle. And for sure after just one time no way will I ever by meat there. They need regional sales managers that stop in unannounced like restaurant industry. Some thing that keeps them on there
toes.

Hmmm --silence must have been the Sam Kennison impersonation --:)

Why did you edit me in there?

I didn't make the post slamming Walmart.

And trust me, I don't shop there. Not because of any political bullshit, but because the two times i've been dragged there have been my personal hell on earth. Just like Home Depot.

For different reasons, but the same result. I stay wayyy clear of either place, it at all possible.

I think Intense Operator should expound on his original post.

I wasn't referring to you Matt--don't shop much at walmart as too big-don't know where anything is and too crowded--I do shop exclusively at Sam's for office cleaning and paper products--ridiculously cheap in bulk.

I was hoping to draw Edward in on discussion as had some goodies for him--but he's getting a little timid with his opinions being proved to the contrary.
