I have to get this in right now, and I sort of feel stupid for telling everyone why, but I am leaving for a golf course at 5:00 AM Saturday morning. Yep, it's a real gong show, but me and three buddies are heading off for a golf course about an hour and half away, and then we're carrying on to Woodbine (which is another hour) for some thoroughbred action......We've got Irish Cream for our morning coffee, and I've 24 cans of Busch Light chilling in the fridge, with cooler ready, as we speak. Best part - not my turn to drive this year, so I can enjoy our beverages.
So......I've been looking at things for Saturday, and watching things play out tonight, and I've come up with one play for Saturday:
NEW YORK METS (-135) I know, I'm leaving everyone with some chalk here, but I love Al Leiter in this spot.....He has won twice in his career versus the Royals, and I just think that Chris George is ready to be welcomed to the real world. Also, I firmly believe the Mets are a better team, and should be looking for revenge after getting beat up early on Friday night in KC.
So....I should be heading for bed, but I'm getting both my bets for Friday on TV right now, and I've got a terrible feeling I might be watching these on the couch when the lights go out. :nono: Anyway, I'm going to retire for the evening here shortly cheering for the 'Spos and Cubs, but good luck to everyone for Saturday!!!
