Shores of Lake Huron, Ontario
YTD 79-72 [+6.59]

Since AS Break 3-0 (+3.10) :)

ATTENTION: This is not deja vu, nor is it Groundhog Day, this is actually happening again:

OAKLAND ATHLETICS (+109) Dance with the one who brought ya, and even though she doesn't look quite as attractive tonight, Lady Oakland has been very good to me so far. There is obvious concern playing Redman tonight, as his ERA in his last three starts is about half a size higher than my shoe. :nono: Regardless, crazy things seem to happen when Chicago hits the west coast, and Garcia is career 5-6 versus the A's with an ERA of 5.57 and has not pitched well in the past at this coliseum. Also, his ERA is a less than stunning 4.79 since joining Chicago. Oh yeah, the White Sox still have only one win in the last three years in Oakland.

WHITE SOX / A's over 8.5 (-109) For reasons touched on above, this one could be a wild one.

CLEVELAND INDIANS (-119) Again, playing a pitcher that has struggled in his last three starts (Sabathia has an ERA of 9.00), but this is more of a play against Seattle. The Mariners send Ryan Franklin to the mound tonight, who has not shown an ability to get past the fifth inning in 2 of his last 3 starts and rarely goes any farther than 6 IP. This could be important in that the Mariners used 6 relievers last night, who had to throw 135 pitches! The Indian bats really came to life last night, and can see the momentum continuing today against a tired Mariner staff.

ST. LOUIS CARDINALS (-131) I am looking at this game as two teams going in opposite directions with two pitchers doing the same. Marquis is emerging as a solid starter for the Cards (3-0 with an ERA of 1.89 L3; 3-1 ERA 2.92 on road), and Cory Lidle, well I'm all too familiar with this act. Last year with the Jays he started out like a house on fire, but come the end of the year, there was barely a smouldering left. I am seeing indication of the same here in Cincy this year, as he has lost his last two starts, he is giving up more hits, and his K/BB ratio is becoming progressively worse. Looking for the Cards to continue to roll in this spot.

I am also leaning towards the under in Pittsburgh, but I haven't had much success with totals, and I've already got one on the card, and just don't like the -119 being offered here.....

I hate to rub it in guys, but Day 1 of vacation is underway.......Life is good. ;)

Have a great Saturday,

Sharky

Good luck Sharky --- and be glad you weren't involved in the Giants game yesterday, I can't believe they played.

Agree with you on CC --- that crooked hat wearing fat boy can be pretty nasty.
