Manhattan has more consecutive winners than even the famous Ace Rothstein -- the Jaspers are going for their 15th straight today vs Canisius.

Manhattan got by Canisius in Buffalo last Sunday 75-72 after being down by 13 at the half.

Canisius comes into this game having lost three straight: each time taking nice leads vs the best MAAC teams into the 2H and then falling apart. They were up by double digits vs Iona and Manhattan, and by 5 with 13 minutes left on Thursday night at Fairfield.

The main reason for Canisius' 2H collapses is lack of reserves due to injuries. PG Brian Dux played all 40 minutes in their last game vs Manhattan.

Manhattan is playing well and is tough at home; Vegas obviously feels that this is going to be a rout since they set the line at 14.

IMO this is a dangerous position for Manhattan backers: the Jaspers aren't playing for payback or anything...they're just trying to get win #15 and move on to preparing for the bigger game vs MAAC #2 Fairfield next week.

Canisius' season is all but done. Seniors Brian Dux and Hodari Mallory have played well this season and they've got nothing to lose here...

I swore off these 1H plays last week, but here goes:

Canisius +7.5 1H

Local Canisius team is WAY too inconsistent to back. They have not stayed within 23!!! on their last 4 trips to Manhattan.
Manhattan was a little weary the other day-should blow this team out today.

Whale --

Guess you don't like this play. I appreciate your input.

Actually it's 20 not 23 -- last year Manhattan won 73-53. FWIW the score at the half in that game was Cansius 36 Manhattan 32 with the Jaspers outscoring the Griffs 41-17 in the 2H.

IMO the difference between this years game is that last year Cansius had beaten the Jaspers by one in Buffalo earlier in the week and Manhattan did a little payback at home. This year there's not that factor.

Canisius may be inconsistent but they seem to be playing okay of late and they are 6-3-1 ATS on the road this year and 5-1-1 ATS in their L7.
