Good day everyone....hope everyone is off the a good holiday season and the early picks are going your way so far.

YTD: 27-20-1.

Been slumping lately. After peaking at 11 games above the .500 mark, I am on a 6-10-1 run. Only played on four days from Dec. 4 on and on those days, I've been 1-2, 4-5-1, 1-1, and 0-2 on those days.....so say a prayer if you're on these with me today! :mj07:

Nebraska +4 over Oregon. I know this is a neutral site, but its still being played in Omaha, so the Huskers should have a nice home court advantage. I like the Miric kid at forward and would not be shocked if he ends up being the best player in this game today. Neb dismantled ASU out of the Pac 10 already and while the Ducks are a whole lot better than ASU, I feel Neb can use that expereince to their advantage. I like Sadler as a coach, he has a totally new team than last year and he has them playing well. I see them finishing in the upper half of the Big 12 and being in the hunt for a tourney bid. They'll need a win here for that resume. It seems like every year, Neb pulls a game or two out at home that they on paper should not. I feel like this is one of them, but I am grabbing the points as insurance.

Boy did I hem and haw on that Arky-OU game....i really like Arky's style and think they're a better team.....but OU was a unranked fav, right? But, actually Arky isn't ranked......line just looks fishy, Sooners just lost at home at SFA, but favored vs. Arky....someone knows something.....i passed, but it'll be interesting to watch....should be a good game.

Here's what I added:

PU +2.5 over Lvile.....I've gone 1-0-1 w/ the Boilers this year, who still remain a team on my serious darkhorse list. Could very well be the third best team in the big 10. In fact, I think they are are will be a big time player in the race this year. Despite the Cards preseason billing, I think this game will be easier for PU than road contests vs Clemson and Missou....if they can erase the memory of the last 2 mins vs. Missou, this team should be confident coming into the contest. Lville has been a disappointment all season. Last two Saturday home games vs Miami and Dayton, they were lucky to go 1-1 and they weren't, in my opnion, better than either of those teams. Sure, motiviation to get Pitino's 500 win, but I think they're too banged up and not consistent enough to get it done today. I really like Purdue here and hope they can live to the billing I've been giving them. We'll see how the winter goes, but come February, I think the ESPN talking heads will be touting Painter as coach of year candidate in the league and they'll hang w/ MSU and IU in the chase.

Adding a pair of 4:00 tips:

UNCC -3 over Hofstra......who isn't impressed w/ what UNCC has done this year? After a a nice run of consecutive tourney appearances, UNCC has faded a bit in recent years, but w/ transfers and juco recuirts, Bobby Lutz finally looks like he has another good team on his hands. It is their first road game, but I dont feel Hofstra is nearly as good as they have been in past years. I see some good cappers here on this so that adds to the confidence. Need a better write-up? Please go to Box's thread as he has a great breakdown.

Texas Tech +5 over New Mexico. Look at my avator....of course I am interested in this game......teacher takes the pupil today, at least with the points....maybe not the strongest I've felt about a play, but I'll be watching and I'm grabbing the points to give me more of a rooting interest.

Got the winner w/ Nebraska! :00hour I've lost a few games because of OT during this slump, it was good to bank one despite OT to start the day!

DD, thanks man.....hate bumping heads with ya, and Los Lobos are off to a good start....if i lose, it'll be less chafing knowing at least someone got the W!!:toast:

Hey Hey Boilers....obviously not a big fan, but i'll leep saying it....they will finish in the top-3 of the Big 10.....off to a good start.....hopefully UNCC can come through as TT looks like a loser.....c'mon 49ers, close strong.

On to tonight:

Butler -4 over FSU -140.....bought it down a bit, but I think Butler gets it done. Really they'll have too much firepower from the perimeter and playing in their hometown will have a big edge there as well. This could play out just like the OSU game two weeks where Butler gets hot over a long stretch of the game and runs away and hides from the Noles.

Miami Ohio ML -140 over Wright St.....yes, the Raiders have a nice home court edge, but they've lost twice this year already at the Nutter Center. WSU was great last year, but they're not as good this year, although they will still be the upper division of the horizon. I really dig this MOH team. Fundamentally sound. Great D. Very battled tested already this year. Oxford not that far away, so they miight have their share of fans there anyway. I just see them getting a road W here in this central/southern ohio rivalry.

Good luck tonight!!!!

I was gone all night out for dinner.....just saw how MOH choked away my winning night....brutal.....i've now had four of those "how in the hell did that happen" sort of games here in my slump.....finding enough winners to stay above even overall during this stretch, so its not that bad......some winning days will come.....I am on WKU plus the points tonight, but that game has already tipped, so I wont be counting it my record either way.....how in the H can Miami just score 13 in the 2nd Half?!?!?!
