Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Will be busy tonight and tomorrow. So can't post as much stuff as I have lately.

Philadelphia at NY Rangers.....................................................................

Phila is 19-9-3 away (35-18-6 on season)
NYR are 16-13-2 at home (27-30-4 on season)

Teams met twice this season. Each winning on home ice, NYR 4-2 (11/14), then Phila 4-2 (1/12). two meetings before those went under.

Last 6 meetings (going back to 10/2000) each team won on home ice. the four before that (feb-oct 2000) each won on enemy ice!

Phila is 3-3-3 on 2 day's rest after a win
NYR are 6-12-2 on 1 days rest after a loss

NYR are 1-4 after a shutout (but 3 of those losses on road)

NYR lost four of last five
Phila win tonight would be four in last five

Looks like Messier out for season..........http://www.newsday.com/sports/hockey/rangers/ny-rside012607009mar01.story?coll=ny-rangers-headlines

first two meetings this season centered around Lindros playing against former team. Now with attention off him, he may score some?

Detroit at Pitt

Pitt coach told paper he's starting Aubin in net today.

Detroit's Federov and Shanahan missed practice, but expected to play. Larionov out with bad knee. Plus Yzerman and Krupp, of course.

Pitt has Lemieux, Straka, Prieau and Johsson out.

Pitt 3-0 last 3 at home against Wings
Pitt 5-1-1 last 6 overall against Wings

Pitt is 5 points from playoff spot

Van, WA, Ott goalies

Bit of surprise, Van coach quoted in paper that Cloutier will start tonight in net for Vancouver. His third straight start. Needs more work to shake rust sez coach. Skudra will be used soon.

WA papers list Kolzig and Lalime as the probables. Sounds right.

Leafs will have ceremony before game honoring franchise's 75th anniversary and all-time greatest players. Team will wear green, white and brown for first time since 1927.

Blue's Doug Weight is out. Leading scorer too. They must be looking forward to the four days rest they have coming after tonight's road game.

MN goalie and injuries

MN goalie and injuries

Thanks for the appreciation fellows. glad i can help. Hope I can keep it up!

paper here says Fernandez likely in goal tonight. Makes sense, he backstopped the three meetings these teams had this season. MN lost 0-5 the first, won home 2-1 and on road 2-1 after that.

MN center Les Walz doubtful
