with all the focus on the ncaa sweet sixteen, it seems this maryland/tcu game is getting lost in the shuffle.

think this total is really off.

maryland over 148

terps have scored 85 and 78 points in their two NIT games, and thats even after they got off to horrific starts in both games. tcu has been on the road for all their NIT games, and theyre not a good defensive team to begin with. maryland should be able to get any shot they want. early start could lead to some matador defense. a lot of those noon ACC tipoffs on espn were high-scoring this year and i dont think thats a coincidence. on the tcu side, they faced two good defenses (miami and western michigan) and shot very well against both. maryland has allowed all kinds of clean looks this postseason, so if tcu can take care of the ball, they can match maryland point for point. really think this game ends up around 160. im grabbing the 148 now for a pretty good play.

was just looking at this game myself. I like TCU +10.5 pretty good. Maryland didn't impress me at all against Davidson. What's the word on Gillchrist? All I can find is questionable, but I know I read on here sometime that he won't be playing.

sixfive:

the linesmaker is dangling a fu.ckin carrot right in front of me with that +10.5 on tcu.

but after having oral roberts in round 1 vs. maryland, and davidson in round 2 vs. maryland.... with BOTH lines being 10.5, and BOTH davidson and oral roberts being up 15+ points at one point... and STILL not get a cover out of either dog

.....im sure you'll understand my hesitation in passing on the dog here. totally fu.cked in both games.

'playara' on the forum is a maryland grad so he might be able to offer some info if he drops by at some point. im not sure on gilchrest's game status.

Thanks for the tip on the over. I got it at 148.5 (don't have any books with 148 which is still out there). I parlayed it with TCU +6 1h. Maryland has been slow out of the gate in their NIT games, whereas TCU has done well in first halves.

From what I have heard Gilchrist is still "questionable" but that won't matter. Gary likes Ledbetter and the way he has been playing lately and wants to see if he can run this team next yr. and into the future so he will see major minutes, regardless of Gilchrist being healthy or not. The Terps demise has ALWAYS been guarding the 3 ball. TCU has 2 guys who can hit the 3 ball at a good clip and I think they will get their points in this game. Betting on or against the Terps will give u an ulcer, its just too tough to know what to expect on any given day from this team (sweeping duke and getting drilled to clemson 3 times lol)... Terps have been scoring in the NIT at a pretty good rate and keep in mind in both games they got off to the SLOWEST possible start. McCray is coming into his own and looks solid. Gist is stepping up and Mike "Shoot evertyime I touch the ball b/c I have to" Jones has been playing better, but he is so lost on D and has the worst spacing on the court. Add to the mix Caner-Medley, Soft Garrison and crew, i think the terps score a good amount of points here. They are a decent ft shooting team (minus Ebekwe)...

Like the over on this one Gman...

No opinion on the points. Seems too be fishy. It was the same line for Oral Roberts and Davidson. Now TCU a better team is getting the same amount?? No play for me but will most likely go with that under...

side note: I am sooo curious to see the Mich St./Kentucky Line. If it is anything near a pick em, I LOVE MICH ST huge...

Gman good call bro. I was on the Over as well. Ha ha i knew UMD would somehow cover. The line just seemed way too fishy and with the Terps its nuts how they get up or down HUGE then blow it all then come back and cover. What did i tell u about Ebekwe and his FT shooting lol, but then he goes and nails a three....

good call....u liking mich st tomorrow??
