gonna try these two totals on saturday.
michigan state spartans under 143.5
southern cal trojans over 153
stanford has been off for 2 full weeks to prepare for this one. theyre NOT gonna beat msu in an up and down game. cardinal just dont have that kind of firepower. theyve done a pretty good job of playing at their pace. the stanford/santa clara foul fest in the 2nd half led to a 86-76 final, but it was only 29-28 at halftime. id like to think stanford comes out and establishes their defense here. i know msu has some experience with stadium-type venues (here and ford field in the past) but still think it mess with depth perception at times. one or two scoring lulls should be enough to keep this one under.
southern cal is coming off games with two teams who dont exactly like to get out and run (byu and fresno). the trojans still managed to turn those two into full-court games. theyll have no problem getting san diego to run with them. torreros will gladly put the track shoes on. usc games have had tons of fouls this year, and san diego knocks down free throws at an outstanding clip (almost 79%). really think this one will end up in the 80s.
