31-23 overall. 2-1 thursday after tenn martin thwarts the sweep losing by 5 in ot as a 4- pt fav. was thinking about coming back with them tonight but saw too much action on them for my taste, so i let it go. anyway, for tonight:
elon 10-: don't look now, but at 6-7 elon has its best start ever in div 1, and they're 4-1 in the soco to boot. sure the phoenix is on the tail of a 5 game road series, but 3 of those were before the xmas break, and the other one was in charleston thursday, a convincing conference road win against the citadel. elon is gelling very nicely right now, with balanced scoring and good team play. i think coc may be getting a little too much credit for pasting a decent james madison last sunday, but the dukes are not a very deep team and were playing back to back on the road. for the most part, this cougar team is still an inherited one for coach cremins, and at 6-7 overall and 1-2 in conference, they may not even be the best team on the court tonight.
