just throwin these up real quick. will add some more in-depth stuff on saturday morning.

butler (+8.5) over detroit
*figured this line would be like 5 or 5.5. number makes no sense. yes boys, i know butler has been my nemesis all year. but this series is incredibly tight every year. these two teams probably play more games decided in the last 1:00 than any other 2 tms i can think of. theyre the one horizon team that isnt intimidated playing at calihan.
(sheets suffered concussion vs csu on thurs. doubt hes playing, but still think the spread is too high for this series)
*last 3 in this series have been decided by 1,3,and 3. butler 7-3 SU last 10 vs detroit.

bowling green (+12) over kent state
*kent normally excels in their rare national tv opportunities, but dakich as a DD underdog is almost an obligatory play. theyve had their struggles on the road this year, but this game should stay in the 5-8 point range the entire way. bowling green shoots the 3 too well to get blown out. and theyre one of the best FT teams in the nation as well.

cleveland state (+10) over illinois-chicago
valuist is correct: csu starters logged big minutes vs butler, but at this point in the season, theyre used to it. vikings have actually played very well at home of late. theyve been crushed on the road, but for some reason, they have performed well at the convo center. uic not a great road team whatsoever. if vikings dont shoot 7-20 from the line, they would have beaten butler. csu hangs. both teams likely to clang a lot of FTs. gonna be in attendance for this one, so if necessary will insert myself into the game for the final 5:00 to knock down FTs. -- (cant believe im paying even 7 bucks and parking to see a 3-20 team, lol) -- to assure a vike cover. would you believe that csu has actually covered 7 of the L8 in this series

Gutsy call on Butler just seems to me Detroit is playing better than anyone in the conference right now. Butler has a hard time scoring and if Sheets doesn't play they are in trouble. Butler is so young going up against Detroit will be intimidated and have a hard time scoring 50 points.

vinnie, you would think saturday totals would be the easiest to find good numbers, since they gotta hang totals on 100 games. but its fu/ckin with my head, lol. like a kid in a candy store. cant settle on anything.:D

heres a total i like:

texas/iowa state over 148

horns fan is absolutely right- the texas zone has led to a lot of unders for them lately. but isu is a team that has the ability to shoot texas out of their zone. cyclones shoot the 3 well and they have no problem playing the "texas pace". i think with the # of texas unders that have come in lately, this # has a lot of value. can see this one being played very close to 160.

boiler:

i shoot em at about a 77% clip. im hoping i dont have to log big minutes. that would mean the vikings did their jobs tonight ;) i really see a close game for some reason. uic just doesnt play well at the convo

one more:

pacific (+1) over utah state

both teams are outstanding defensively. both teams shoot FTs and the 3 well. these are just two solid mid-major programs right now. but i like pacific to get it done. just think theyre too good to pass up as even a slight home dog. not gonna be too many pts in this game. like the fact that the tigers get usu on the 2nd road gm in 3 nights for the aggies.

final plays:

butler (+8.5) over detroit
bowling green (+12) over kent
cleveland state (+10) over uic
texas/iowa state over 148
pacific (+1) over utah state

gl boys

goin to be one of the 1100 idiots at the csu/uic game. peace

Nice call on Butler. As for Pacific, I just can't go against a team that is 20-1 when they just have to win, but I can see your reasoning. Good luck.

playing this one overnight:

marshall (+7) over western michigan

really feel marshall is capable of winning this game outright. broncos have been road warriors this season, but marshall is tough in that building when big name foes come to town
